Since he is currently in the middle of a feud with Alexander Rusev, it was interesting to note that Jack Swagger was absent on Monday Night Raw. The belief is that the WWE star is still not allowed into Canada because of his prior legal issues in the United States. Swagger has been forced to miss shows in the past in that country for that very reason. Zeb Colter was in person at the show, though.

One of the reasons why Santino Marella worked a segment with Jack Swagger and Zeb Colter on Monday Night Raw this week was because Emma was overseas. WWE sent the diva to her home country of Australia to do some promotional work for an upcoming tour. Management really does not have a long term plan for Santino and Emma, but they like utilizing the two of them on television together.

With the X-Men star making a return appearance next week, WWE has been hinting that Hugh Jackman is going to be knocking out one of the wrestlers. The company set up a poll to see which performer the fans wanted to see in the roll. Damien Sandow, JBL, Wade Barrett, Randy Orton, Batista, Ryback, Curtis Axel, Zeb Colter, Fandango and Jack Swagger were all included, but Triple H and Paul Heyman are currently in the lead.

Since he split with Jack Swagger and Zeb Colter, many fans are under the impression that Antonio Cesaro is doing a face turn. WWE is currently planning on keeping him a heel, as Paul Heyman functions a lot better in that role. Cesaro worked as a heel against Dolph Ziggler at a live event in Texas over the weekend. WWE might be persuaded to change their minds down the line because of his growing popularity, however.

Despite becoming one of the most popular stars in the entire company as of late, Antonio Cesaro was removed from the Hulu broadcast of Monday Night Raw this week. WWE did not feel that his match against Intercontinental Champion Big E Langston was important enough to show their audience again. This does not bode well for his split story line with Jack Swagger and Zeb Colter.

The triple threat match at Extreme Rules 2014 quickly became a singles match after Jack Swagger was eliminated after a combination of a superplex and flying splash. Antonio Cesaro then won the match by pinning Rob Van Dam after delivering his Neutralizer finishing move on top of a trash can. Zeb Colter and Paul Heyman had minimal involvement.

Some very bad news for Jake Roberts right now. The WWE legend was flying to Las Vegas for an event, but he passed out while on the plane. Roberts was immediately taken to the hospital, where he remains in critical condition. Reports are saying that he has yet to regain consciousness. Some are saying that Roberts has double pneumonia. His lungs are said to be filled with fluid, and there may be something wrong with his brain as well.

There's been another casualty in WWE, thanks to the company losing millions of dollars this year. Tough Enough has been taken off of life support and has now been officially scrapped. Management was hoping to do another season of the show, and they were still trying to get Steve Austin to jump back on board. However, after severely reducing the available budget for Tough Enough, officials decided that it would not work out with the limited amount of funding.

The company has decided to pull advertisement featuring the former world heavyweight champion from upcoming live events in Europe. Initially, management wanted him to make appearances on those shows in order to draw in more of an audience. However, they have changed their minds and are allowing Bryan to remain at home and focus on recover.

When word broke that Ryback was injured, there were some reports of skepticism from WWE officials that there really was no injury. However, the legitimacy of his health has been proven, as Ryback has posted a video of himself in the hospital. He clearly did go under the knife. Considering the amount of pain that he withstood for the sake of entertaining fans over the years, it is a bit surprising that Mick Foley did not spend more time on the sidelines. He has retired from WWE now, but an injury is preventing him from working. Back issues have prompted the former world heavyweight champion to cancel an upcoming appearance in Denver. No word yet on whether or not it will be rescheduled.

The value of the WWE audience has taken yet another hit. There is already a good amount of advertisers who are avoiding the company because they do not feel that the demographics is desirable. Reports are now surfacing that Marvel purposely declined to advertise their Guardians of the Galaxy movie to the WWE audience, even though Batista could have drawn in some of the fans to the film. Since the studio was not interested, WWE opted to avoid promoting the movie, even though it could have benefited them internally.

There was a little bit of a buzz earlier in the week when Ryback posted a message about taking time off from WWE. It escalated a bit further when he deleted the comment from Twitter, which is something that he has done several times in the past. It has now been confirmed that he suffered some sort of injury and will be needing a few weeks off of the road to recover.

With so much speculation in the air on his condition, it looks like Daniel Bryan will be making a return to WWE in November. Unfortunately, though, he will not be wrestling when he does come back. He recently revealed that the studios have renewed Redneck Island for a fourth season and have decided to give the Broken Skull Challenge a second one. The belief is that the former world heavyweight champion is not done securing deals yet.

After weeks of speculation, it has now been confirmed that WWE will indeed be moving Smackdown from Friday to Thursday. Rumors popped up a couple of weeks ago because a picture of a production truck showed the new day. SyFy has now confirmed the switch. The move puts WWE head to head with the NFL, which is a move that Vince McMahon will be heavily scrutinized for.
