New Day push

There are speculations floating around that WWE is doing an about face with the New Day stable and are actually considering a push for the trio. Rumors were started when the official company website published an article where it suggested that management might bring back the Freebird Rule, which would enable Xavier Woods, Kofi Kingston and Big E Langston to share the tag team championship. It could just be a tease from the writers.

Xavier Woods at Wrestlemania

If you look at the record books, you will notice that Xavier Woods has yet to work a pay per view for WWE this year. That streak will more than likely be ending at Wrestlemania, as he is rumored to be a possible participant in two different matches. Woods might team up with Kofi Kingston or Big E Langston to face several tag teams for the title. If management does not go that route, then Woods will be a participant in the battle royal.

Xavier Woods education

Since the New Day stable has not exactly taken off, Xavier Woods remains towards the lower level of the WWE ladder. That has led to some speculation about his job security in the company. However, the belief is that management is going to keep him around a bit, even if he is not a star. Woods is an asset for the public relations department because the company can boast about his education to kids that they frequently visit at various events.

New Day split

Since it is fairly obvious now that WWE does not believe in the New Day being a marketable act, there have been some speculations about the trio being split up in the near future. However, that does not appear to be the case. The belief is that management will keep Xavier Woods, Kofi Kingston and Big E Langston together, as it is easier to do that than to rebuild them as individuals and provide them with separate stories to work with.

WWE not pushing New Day

When the New Day made their debut, WWE reportedly was going to give them a pretty big push, as the tag team division is badly in need of new blood. There were even talks that Xavier Woods, Kofi Kingston and Big E Langston were going to be carrying championship gold not too long after they showed up together on the scene. Those plans were put on hold because of the rising popularity of Damien Sandow and Miz, whom they now want to keep the belts on.
