Smackdown Results - September 14, 2007

This was the Smackdown before the Unforgiven pay per view. As has been the case the last few weeks, MVP and Matt Hardy carried the show.

Ron Simmons DAMN T-Shirt

Wedding Parties With one week away from their wedding, Theodore Long and Kristal Marshall both were thrown parties by various wrestlers and divas. Jesse & Festus and the Major Brothers were involved in the skits. Kind of interesting to note that they get used for that but not for the actual tag team division. Typical WWE backstage stuff here. Random legends making an appearance (it was a treat seeing Ron Simmons' former tag team partner, Butch Reed). Plus, they brought back the oily fat guy in a thong to dance (lame as usual). Where's Hornswoggle? Another interesting to note is that Hornswoggle was missing from the show after being revealed as Vince McMahon's son. He might have been moved over to the Raw brand temporarily since he's involved in a major storyline. The WWE really makes it too obvious that Smackdown is the secondary brand since they couldn't even involve their biggest storyline on Friday night's show. Victoria's Outfit Victoria had a pretty awesome outfit on this week. Showed a lot of fashion sense. She basically covered up all of her body except for her thong covered rear end. Her shirt also read "Everybody loves a bad girl."

Closing Thoughts

Solid episode of Smackdown that needed to be better because it was supopsed to hype the Unforgiven pay per view on Sunday.

Finlay beat Kane

Finlay defeated Kane in a very fundamentally sound match. The writers should really add on a storyline to this feud if they're going to continue it.

MVP and Matt Hardy

MVP and Matt Hardy continue to carry the best feud in all of wrestling. They played a game of chess this week. Then, Hardy surprised MVP with a match.

Mark Henry dressed up as a druid. Apparently, that was supposed to get into the head of the Undertaker. We have no idea how, though.

Great Khali gets himself DQed when he refused to let go of his claw hold on Batista. We've seen this too often. Also, where the heck was Mysterio?

Kristal Marshall

The divas (including Mickie James from Raw) threw a little party for the bride to be. We kept watching this segment waiting for something to happen.

Match ended in a double DQ when Palumbo and Dykstra interfered. Still no clue as to where they're going with these two feuds.

Domino beat MVP

With Matt Hardy distracting him by leading the audience in chanting "MVP...sucks!", MVP gets rolled up and defeated by Domino.

Average match that could have been better. The crowd was actually chanting against Jamie Noble, which means that his feud with Hornswoggle is working.
