Once Monday Night Raw ended, WWE cameras continued to capture footage as most of the performers backstage came out to the ramp to show appreciation for Daniel Bryan, who announced his retirement this week. Chris Jericho was spotted wearing a Social Outcasts shirt, and the former world heavyweight champion has been receiving praise from the internet wrestling community for showing support to the new stable.

Earlier today, WWE issued an official announcement about the death of Iron Mike Sharpe at the age of 64. No cause of death has been reported at this point in time. Billing himself as the greatest athlete from Canada, Sharpe spent time in both the NWA and WWF, where he was memorably a jobber on the weekly television shows. Iron Mike spent some time training wrestlers after his retirement. His students include Charlie Haas.

While most wrestling fans already know that he is no longer an active in ring performer, WWE has finally cemented the deal on the retirement of Christian. The former world heavyweight champion has now been officially moved to the alumni section of their website. He had remained on the active roster for quite some time after he stopped being an in ring performer. No word yet on what is next for Captain Charisma.

Right after they worked the retirement match, Shawn Michaels surprised Ric Flair by giving him matching Rolex watches. Michaels has long stated that he idolized Flair when he was growing up. Well, the two of them decided to bestow quite the honor on Charlotte when the trio was backstage together at Monday Night Raw. The WWE Divas Champion was given a matching watch as well.

When asked about his upcoming retirement, Mark Henry revealed an interesting choice to be the person that ends his career. The longtime WWE star said that he would not be opposed to the fans choosing how he ends his tenure with the company, but he really would like for someone like Daniel Bryan to be the person to do the honor. Henry feels that Bryan has the credibility for the role.

When CJ Parker announced his retirement earlier in the year, the belief was that he was done with professional wrestling after being given his release by WWE. However, that does not appear to be the case. Apparently, he is only retiring his persona. The former NXT star is heading to New Japan to wrestle there, despite not having established himself in the United States yet. He will be going by the name of Juice Robinson.
