WWE Raw Results - October 22, 2007

Pretty interesting episode of Monday Night Raw this week as the three finalists for the 2007 WWE Diva Search contest make their first live appearance, Candice Michelle suffers a serious injury, and Harry Smith finally makes his debut.

2007 WWE Diva Search Lena Yada, Brooke Gilbertsen, and Eve Torres made it to the final three spots. They were rewarded with a live appearance on Monday Night Raw. Kind of odd that they would bring all three girls out only to announce that Lena Yada was eliminated. It felt kind of awkward since they could have just brought the final two girls out. Harry Smith Debuts Harry Smith makes his much anticipated debut for WWE with a win over Carlito, who has severely been dropped down the ladder since several stars returned from the drug suspensions. Using the name DH Smith (possibly as a tribute to his father, Davey Boy Smith), he impressed the fans with a nice array of moves. It wasn't a great match, but it was a great debut. He finishes things off with a running powerslam like his father used to. Candice Michelle Injured It looked like a routine set up when Candice Michelle climbed to the top turnbuckle. Beth Phoenix counters by running into the ropes. Candice Michelle doesn't get her feet set up properly, so she falls extremely hard on your head and shoulders. The referee does the X signal with his arms, and paramedics came out and rolled her away on a stretcher.

Closing Thoughts

Good episode of Monday Night Raw this week with solid in-ring action and segments that actually makes sense.

Beth Phoenix beat Candice Michelle

This was a best of 3 falls for the WWE Women's Championship. The match ended abruptly after Candice Michelle suffered a serious injury off the ropes.

Michaels/Hardy beat Orton/Kennedy

This unusual tag team match was set up to promote the main event at Cyber Sunday. Pretty decent match that saw Randy Orton being knocked out again.

This wasn't an official match, but Triple H and Umaga spent several minutes fighting through security in order to get shots in on each other. Good fight.

In order to continue their feud, Jonathan Coachman set up a match between Hornswoggle and Umaga. The match never happens, though.

Ron Simmons beat Santino Marella

This feud has definitely lost all of its momentum. The only interesting thing was that they played that mysterious video during the promo.

Paul London, Brian Kendrick, and Mickie James team up to beat Lance Cade, Trevor Murdoch, and Melina. Pretty fun match to watch.

Cody Rhodes beat Shelton Benjamin

Cody Rhodes gets the win. Charlie Haas and Shelton Benjamin attack him afterwards until Hardcore Holly makes the save. Expect a match next week.

DH Smith beat Carlito

Impressive debut for Harry Smith, the son of the British Bulldog. He performed some really good moves. What's with the stupid name they gave him, though?
