WWE Judgment Day 2007
As expected, Judgment Day was solid, but not spectacular.
The main event was centered around WWE Heavyweight Champion John Cena once again in attempt to make him seem even stronger than before. Vince McMahon and Bobby Lashley had another match to extend their ECW Heavyweight Championship feud. Edge and Batista have a World Heavyweight Championship match to make Edge look like a credible champion. Ric Flair and Carlito finally have their match. CM Punk and Elijah Burke wrestle in a match that happened too soon. Randy Orton and Shawn Michaels basically perform an injury angle. The Hardy Boys continue their intriguing fued with Lance Cade and Trevor Murdoch. MVP finally wins the United States Championship from Chris Benoit in a highly anticipated moment. |

Ric Flair defeats Carlito
In a match that should have happened at Wrestlemania, "The Nature Boy" Ric Flair defeats Carlito via submission (figure four leglock).
The ending was a bit of a surprise because logic would dictate that Carlito get the win and move up the ranks thanks to his momentum from a much needed heel turn. Apparently, the WWE is going to extend this feud for another month or so. |

Bobby Lashley defeats Vince McMahon, Shane McMahon, and Umaga
In an attempt to build up support for Bobby Lashley, the bookers decided to utilize the Dusty Finish by having Bobby Lashley pin Shane McMahon in a fairly quick match. Since Shane isn't the ECW world heavyweight champion, the title did not switch hands.
The point is to extend the feud to where Lashley finally gets his singles match with McMahon for the title. |

CM Punk defeat Elijah Burke
In a match that happened sooner than expected, CM Punk defeated Elijah Burke.
The WWE had potentially their best storyline in years in the Punk/New Breed feud, but they decided to rush it. The Burke/Punk match could have been higher up on the card at a bigger event like SummerSlam. |

Randy Orton defeats Shawn Michaels
Many people were already aware that Shawn Michaels needed some time off to recover from a knee injury, so the finish was expected.
The WWE decided to have Randy Orton injure Michaels and put him on the shelf for a few months. It's interesting to note that prior to the knee injury, Orton was scheduled to do the job to Michaels. |

Matt and Jeff Hardy defeat Trevor Murdoch and Lance Cade
The Hardy Boys once again defeated Trevor Murdoch and Lance Cade to retain their World Heavyweight Tag Team Championships.
This storying is starting to become intriguing because a lot of fans are anticipating the moment when Murdoch and Cade stop being tweeners and go back to being full fledged heels. |

Edge defeats Batista
Edge defeated Batista in his first pay per view World Heavyweight Championship defense.
With Edge being switched over from Raw, it was pretty much expected that he was going to be winning this match. He'd probaby do so in a cheap manner, which would set up a rematch at the next pay per view, with it perhaps being a gimmick match of sorts. |

MVP defeats Chris Benoit
After developing a stronger following within the internet wrestling community, MVP finally gets the best of Chris Benoit by beating him in a Best 2 Out Of 3 Falls to capture his first WWE United States Heavyweight Championship.
MVP is expected to hold the belt for a few months, but what happens to Benoit will be interesting to see. Hopefully, he'll be pushed back to the main event scene. |

John Cena defeats The Great Khali
Very few people were surprised when John Cena defeated the Great Khali to retain his WWE Heavyweight Title.
It was fairly obvious from the start that the Great Khali was given a push so that Cena can beat him at a pay per view, much like how Umaga was pushed a few months ago. Expect the WWE to continue this push until they can find someone else for Cena to feud with once all the injuries heal. |
