WWE Armageddon 2007 will forever be remembered as the night that Edge recaptured the World Heavyweight Championship, JBL started his comeback, and Jeff Hardy received a clean pinfall victory over Triple H.

New World Heavyweight Champion It took two impersonators and a steel chair, but Edge managed to win the World Heavyweight Championship for the 2nd time in his career at Armageddon. The match was bordering on being great. That's not a surprise considering these three guys all are capable of putting on a great show. Some have criticized the finish as taking away from the match, but that's not a bad thing. That was the purpose of the finish. Management really wanted to build up more heat for Edge as the champion. It worked. JBL Returns JBL got physically involved in the match between Chris Jericho and Randy Orton. This will probably lead to a feud between the two, which means that JBL will be making his official return to wrestling. The big question now is, "Will they feud on Raw or on Smackdown?" Jeff Hardy Wins In one of the biggest shockers of 2007, Triple H did the clean job to Jeff Hardy. What's sad is that there's going to be plenty of people who forget this moment as they're criticizing him for not putting any talent over.

Closing Thoughts

The show wasn't horrible, but it wasn't great. It was an average show with a few solid matches.

Edge beat Batista & Undertaker

Edge used every trick in the book (including two Edge impersonators) to recapture the title. The match itself was actually pretty good.

Beth Phoenix beat Mickie James

The match was solid, but it was hurt a bit by the fact that most people didn't believe that a title change could occur here. WWE is just waiting on Candice.

Shawn Michaels beat Mr Kennedy

Fans were hoping that Mr Kennedy could step up and produce a great match with Shawn Michaels, but he fell a bit short. The match was still solid, though.

Even though the live audience was a bit quiet, this was a great match. Lots of people were surprised that Jeff Hardy would get the clean win over Triple H.

Chris Jericho beat Randy Orton

Solid match. Fans felt a bit cheated at the end when JBL interfered and costed Chris Jericho the opportunity to win the title from Randy Orton.

The match was a bit sloppy, but that was expected considering who was in the match. CM Punk takes the clean loss here, so the feud will continue. Yuck.

Finlay beat Great Khali

Finlay did the best that he could to keep this match from being a complete disaster. They should try to make the Great Khali relevant again now.

Rey Mysterio beat MVP

Something must have been wrong because this match wasnt nearly as good as it could have been. Plus, the cheap countout finish made things worse.
