He stated that he was never under contract with the company, despite constantly asking them to make the deal official. The masked performer was also shocked that they did not want him to fulfill his remaining dates. The promotion was said to be furious that he showed up in CMLL while working for them.

Things got pretty ugly between AAA and Myzteziz, who was the original Sin Cara in WWE. Apparently, the masked performer had some backstage heat with Alberto Del Rio, who reportedly threatened a physical assault. The man legally known as Luis Ignacio Urive Alvirde showed up unannounced in CMLL and said that he wanted to return to that promotion. When his current employer found out, a release was immediately given.

Those that watched the latest episode of Monday Night Raw heard Sting finally speak since joining WWE. Kind of. The vignette featured a voice that fans were not familiar with. It was actually the voice of Steve Borden, but the production crew altered that because they want to save his real voice for Wrestlemania. The idea was inspired by the Black Scorpion character, the masked performer who ended up being revealed as Ric Flair.

That would explain why management opted to renew his contract, even though there were no plans to utilize him in a story line or a feud.
