News broke out earlier in the week that the Bulgarian Brute was injure. WWE has now confirmed that and removed him from all live events planned for this weekend. The question now becomes, "Who will replace Rusev at Elimination Chamber?" The front office has been tossing around ideas backstage, and the popular choice seems to be Bray Wyatt. Those that oppose the move do not want to see him taking a loss at the pay per view.

Dean Ambrose

Dean Ambrose concerns

When you watch Dean Ambrose coming out to the ring each and every week to perform, it is easy to see how passionate he is about professional wrestling based on how much he throws his body around. That has caused some concerns backstage in WWE. During a recent interview, Booker T flat out stated that he was not sure how long Ambrose is going to last in this industry if he does not change his style up to be a bit safer to his body.

Batista

Backstage heat on Batista

Since he has been quite vocal about the creative department, there is some backstage heat towards Batista from people in WWE. However, don't expect the former world heavyweight champion to stop trashing the product. He knows that his name value is growing by the day, so if he ever wanted to make another return, Vince McMahon would gladly be there to hold the door open for him with a gigantic check in his hands as well.

Baron Corbin

Tommy Dreamer in NXT

Yesterday, there were reports that Tommy Dreamer was backstage at an NXT event. That led many to believe that he was simply visiting friends backstage. However, he did a lot more than that. The ECW legend was brought out by Joey Styles to work a match against Baron Corbin. The reason why WWE opted to do that was because the event was being held in Philadelphia. They felt that it would be a nice treat for their fans there.

Ronda Rousey

Ronda Rousey waiting on WWE

During a recent interview, we got a glimpse of what the future has in store for Ronda Rousey when it comes to WWE. She stated that a legend that she met backstage told her that you never really retire from professional wrestling. It appears that Rousey realizes that the best thing for her career is to remain with UFC and milk that cow for all it is worth. Her name value should still be high when she retires, so she can always call Stephanie McMahon then.

Daniel Bryan

Daniel Bryan backstage role

As a sign of how bad the situation is for Daniel Bryan, reports have now surfaced that WWE has discussed internally a new backstage role that he could fill. Management wants to keep him around because he is still popular. Plus, they still have upcoming merchandise for him that needs to be promoted. There are talks of Bryan being an on screen character, but there is no confirmation that he would be interested in such a role.

Hulk Hogan

WWE inducting Brutus Beefcake

Even though he is just as qualified as some of the performers that have already been inducted, do not expect to see Brutus Beefcake being thrown into the hall of fame by WWE any time soon. He has had quite a few controversial incidents over the years. Plus, the former Intercontinental Champion has backstage heat with Hulk Hogan. Considering the fact that the company wants to keep a business relationship with Hogan, the induction will not happen.

Dean Ambrose

Dean Ambrose turning heel

Over the past several months, Dean Ambrose has been losing a good amount of momentum, despite being one of the better performers in WWE. Management wants to help him turn things back around, so the idea of a heel turn is being tossed around backstage. Ambrose would do so during the main event of Payback. He would then join the Authority, which should cause quite a reaction from the audience because they like him a lot as a face.

Chris Hero

Chris Hero backstage in TNA

Last night, Impact Wrestling was filmed live in Orlando, and a familiar face was backstage. Chris Hero was said to be there visiting with old friends, which is the adage more frequently used because no one wants to admit that they are in negotiations with a company. Rumors have it that Hero did have a little talk with TNA, so that the two sides can gauge interest in a potential contract. He has been looking for another chance since his WWE release.

He was promised that he would be the last to come out during his segment with Hulk Hogan, but they gave that honor to The Rock instead.
