The company has now announced that for the third straight month, the online subscription service will be free to new subscribers. That means that you can watch everything in the month of June without having to pay. The promotion has been quite the success for the company in their efforts to gain subscribers.

Even when Vince McMahon is giving something away for free, there are still a good amount of people in the world that are wanting to throw wads of cash at him. Reports have surfaced that Extreme Rules generated 56,000 buys overall. The pay per view was available at no charge on the WWE Network. Granted, there is a lot of the buyers are in areas where the online video service is not available, but some pay simply out of habit.

There are rumors floating around that Vince McMahon abruptly put together the Elimination Chamber, as a way to boost the amount of WWE Network subscribers. Further fuel was added to the fire because management opted to reschedule a live event that was taking place on the same day. John Cena and Rusev were originally scheduled to be approximately 1100 miles away from the pay per view, so the changes were necessary.

During his stand up special for the WWE Network, Mick Foley revealed that some of his closest friends in the industry are divas. He relayed a story where Trish Stratus explained that he was the guy that female performers viewed as a safety valve, in that they can hang out with him without fear of being hit on. Foley then joked with Trish by stating that he has actually been trying to hit on her for years now. Foley is known to be quite loyal to his wife.

Since the promotion is quite effective in inflating the number of subscribers, the WWE Network will be available for free in May. This is the first time that management has opted to do it in consecutive months (April was free as well). That means that fans will be able to watch Payback for free. Vince McMahon is hoping that the move will enable them to finally break the 1.5 million mark, which would then be flaunted at potential investors.

Back when it was announced that the WWE Network was going to start being aired internationally, some in the internet wrestling community were absolutely certain that the company would rope in millions of subscribers. Vince McMahon was a bit more realistic, especially since he based his opinions on numbers and statistics. He announced earlier today that they have picked up a little less than 200,000 foreign subscribers. Numbers won't be much higher.

The eight participants of the King of the Ring tournament have now been officially announced. In the first round, Dean Ambrose will take on Sheamus. The surging Adrian Neville will take on Luke Harper. Two veterans in Stardust and R Truth are the next match. The remaining match will see Wade Barrett taking on Dolph Ziggler. The first two rounds will take place on Monday Night Raw, while the remaining two rounds will be on the WWE Network.

Vince McMahon is still desperately wanting to boost the number of subscribers for the WWE Network, so he has decided to bring back one of the best gimmicks that his company has ever created. The King of the Ring tournament is making a comeback, and it is starting on the next episode of Monday Night Raw. The preliminary rounds will be held on television, but the semifinals and finals will be shown on Tuesday on their online video service.
