Considering his acrimonious relationship with a few of his former fighters, it would not be strange for someone to assume that Dana White would be better about Brock Lesnar staying with WWE. However, he has proven many wrong by doing noting but praise Lesnar, even though UFC lost out on a huge draw. White even went so far as to say that Lesnar made the right decision by choosing to remain in professional wrestling.

When CM Punk decided to join UFC after leaving WWE, he turned to Brock Lesnar for some advice. The former NCAA champion was quite eager to help. Punk asked Lesnar what the most difficult part of the transition was, so Lesnar told him that the hardest part was letting go. Now that he has trained extensively, Punk realizes that the advice was absolutely sound. He admits to punching too lightly at times because of his pro wrestling background.

Alistair Overeem does not believe that the current WWE Heavyweight Champion will be making a foray back to UFC because the competition is too stiff for Lesnar. Overeem might be promoting some conflict between the two for a potential rematch with Lesnar.

Resentment can be an ugly thing. During a recent interview, Dan Severn showed that side of himself when asked about Brock Lesnar. Severn stated that Lesnar received opportunities that he did not deserve in UFC. He also stated that it would be wise for the current WWE Heavyweight Champion to stick with professional wrestling instead of heading back to mixed martial arts because it would be a lot easier on his already damaged body.

Earlier this week, reports surfaced that Brock Lesnar had started negotiating a new contract with WWE. The move has led many to believe that he is surely going to extend his stint in professional wrestling after the current deal expires in April. However, there are also those that believe that Lesnar is simply using Vince McMahon as a way to leverage even more money from Dana White. The feeling is that he still yearns for a UFC return.

Based on a vague exchange between the two on social media, a lot of fans are under the belief that Samoa Joe and CM Punk are going to be working a wrestling match against one another in the near future. They are no longer with TNA and WWE respectively. However, the odds of that happening are quite slim. Punk is under contract with UFC, and it is highly unlikely that Dana White would allow one of his fighters to be involved in a wrestling match.

When CM Punk announced that he had signed a contract with UFC, neither side was able to provide a specific date for his debut match. Rumors are now heating up that it could be on July 25, when the promotion does a card in Chicago, which happens to be the hometown of Punk. There, he would more than likely receive a warm ovation from the live audience. Plus, since it will be aired for free on Fox, that should draw in a ton of wrestling fans.
