An MMA reported stated through social media that Rampage Jackson lost his desire to do professional wrestling because of the way that TNA handled his career. In response, a representative from the company pointed out the special treatment that the former UFC star was given. The front office paid for a private jet, and they also provided accommodations to his entourage. It is also being said that Jackson was afraid of taking bumps.

Unlike a lot of fans, Dixie Carter was smart enough to know that improvements were not going to take place overnight for TNA. It was going to be a gradual change that required a lot of patience. The company is moving back in the right direction. In addition to a planned tour later on this year, the company is also working on doing live episodes of Impact Wrestling again. They are going to test things out for a couple of weeks first.

Another step forward has been taken by Jeff Jarrett and GFW. An announcement has been officially made about an upcoming tour this summer. The promotion will hold shows at various minor league sports stadiums across the country. Jarrett has already secured several dates for Global Force Wrestling, and he is still negotiating more shows as well. The company is expected to announce some recognizable names for their roster soon.

Since he is no longer with a mainstream wrestling company, Chris Sabin has been relatively quiet with the internet wrestling community. However, the former TNA star is still quite the hot commodity in Europe. He recently did a tour of Europe at the beginning of March and has now announced that he will be heading back overseas for at least another five shows. It is being said that promoters over there are paying him more to work there.

Since Eddie Edwards and Davey Richards were forced to vacate the tag team championship because the former is out with a broken foot, TNA has decided to put together a tournament to crown new titleholders. Thus far, seven teams have been revealed, and it appears that management is scouring the independent wrestling circuit to see if they could find a surprise entrant that will create a buzz for the company.

Being an independent wrestling promotion is going to get a lot harder come May. That is when WWE is tentatively planning on having the stars of NXT begin touring the country. Unlike the main roster, the developmental wrestlers would be performer is smaller venues in towns that might not normally get the big name stars coming through. Guys like Kevin Owens, Finn Balor, Hideo Itami, Sami Zayn and Adrian Neville are hard to compete against.

Last week, Jack Swagger was sent over to England to do a promotional tour for WWE. While there, he revealed something rather interesting in an interview. The former world heavyweight champion stated that he was interested in transitioning from a career in professional wrestling to one in Hollywood. While he admittedly is not a great actor, Swagger stated that he could learn to be better. He stated that his dream is to star in a comedy.

If you are a TNA fan that is sentimental about Samoa Joe leaving the company, you are going to want to tune in to Impact Wrestling on March 20. That night will showcase his final match in the promotion. Fortunately for those that love great in ring action, Joe was paired with Austin Aries in that match, which was filmed when the company was doing a tour of England earlier in the year. No word yet on how he will be written off of television.

This experiment that WWE did with Kevin Owens being given an immediate push has seemingly paid off instantly. Not only is there more interest from the internet wrestling community, but ticket sales at NXT live events have been doing better than usual since Owens was booked in main event matches against Finn Balor during the tour. Owens is also reportedly moving a good amount of merchandise, so a promotion to the main roster is expected.

CHIKARA is doing another King of Trios event, and they have managed to pull off a bit of a coup by signing three of the most popular free agents on the independent wrestling circuit. AJ Styles, Nick Jackson and Matt Jackson will be competing in the tournament and representing the Bullet Club, their massively popular stable from New Japan. No word yet on who they will be facing first that night, but there is a very good chance they win it all.
