The former world television champion announced through social media that was he accepting booking on the independent wrestling circuit now. While there seems to be some slight resentment, he professional opted to thanks everyone that he worked with.

During a recent interview, Jeff Jarrett not only confirmed that he was still in negotiations for a television deal in the United States, he also noted that he was in negotiations to get international television deals as well. His deals with wrestling companies overseas could play a big factor in securing those contracts.

Since there was so much confusion within the internet wrestling community over the situation, ROH decided to release an official statement in regards to Samoa Joe working the television taping on June 20, 2015. Even though he is under contract with WWE, he will honor his contract and work the tag team match with AJ Styles. It is being billed as his final appearance.

There is a lot of wrestling available on television each week, and that has the internet wrestling community buzzing about an upcoming boom period. Jim Ross, on the other hand, doesn't think that's the case. He feels that in order for professional wrestling to get better, the shows need to be easier to understand and the creative department needs to allow the performers a lot more freedom so that they can become stars on their own.

Retirement rumors spring up frequently, but Truth plans on being a performer for quite some time.

WWE in Italy

TNA wasn't the only wrestling promotion finalizing a new television deal in Italy this week. Vince McMahon did so as well. He has secured a contract that will enable WWE to keep broadcasting their programming in that country until the year 2020. The promotion has been with Sky Italia since 2003. The network stated that the business partnership between the two sides have been mutually beneficial and should continue on for years.

Jim Ross criticizes TNA

Since he has worked in the industry and remains a big fan, Jim Ross likes to discuss things that are currently taking place on television. He is not a big fan of the train segment that TNA did on Impact Wrestling this week. Ross stated that he is a big fan of both Mickie James and James Storm, but he feels that the creative department is giving them really bad material to work with. He also mentioned that he likes where Storm is taking his character.

When the announcement was made that Ring of Honor was going to be broadcast on Destination America, a lot of the internet wrestling community assumed that there was going to be an immediate ratings war with TNA. Despite all the hype, ROH failed to even crack the top 100 cable television show for the evening. Joe Koff and company are already aware that they are running a replay, so most of their fans have already seen the episode.

While the internet wrestling community is making a big deal about it, the staff at TNA were not surprised that Impact Wrestling lost more than 100,000 viewers this week. Dixie Carter and her team knew that a drop usually takes place whenever a television show changes days. It has happened to them before, and it has also happened to Smackdown. Once fans figure out that they have moved, then the numbers will slowly start increasing again.
