For whatever reasons, WWE has decided to replace Jerry Lawler with Eva Marie as the host of the hall of fame ceremony that is taking place at Wrestlemania. That has led to immediate backlash from the online wrestling community. Many voiced their opinions on social media that the red haired diva should not be hosting the event because they do not feel that she is worthy of the honor. A lot of them want Lawler back as the host.

During an interview with Great North Wrestling, Dan Severn revealed the interesting reason why he opted to walk away from WWE. He stated that management approached him about an idea where he would have the numbers 666 tattooed on his forehead. Severn would then have been utilized as a disciple of the Undertaker. For religious reasons, he refused. The front office then threatened to push him down the ladder, so he left the company.

Well, those particular fans might not be pleased with what Shawn Michaels recently stated in an interview. When asked about the possibility of being the final opponent for Triple H some day, the Heartbreak Kid stated that he would definitely consider putting on the wrestling boots once again.

When Kevin Von Erich showed up in TNA, many were under the assumption that it was a one shot deal. Turns out, that is not the case at all. Dixie Carter announced via social media that the legendary Texas wrestling star is making another return to the company. He and his sons will be showing up on episodes of Impact Wrestling that are being taped in February. No further details have been released at the moment.

That is one of the big reasons why WWE is quite pleased with Kevin Owens, a relative newcomer that has a huge following from the independent wrestling circuit. The first shirt that was produced for him has been selling really well at the live events. Management uses that as a gauge on who to push up the ladder.

It is being said that management is leaning towards using Bill DeMott and the other trainers as the host of the show. There are speculations that the move by the company is being done for financial reasons.

Management wants to start pushing him as a serious competitor.

A $400,000 contract was put on the table for Alberto Del Rio. Management even sweetened the deal by limiting the amount of appearances that he would be required to make during the year. For whatever reasons, the former world heavyweight champion declined the offer.

After losing public battles to CM Punk and Alberto Del Rio, WWE has decided to become a bit stricter with the wording of their contract. Management wants to ensure that the performers are unable to make a living after they leave the company, so there is now reportedly a new clause that prevents them from working in professional wrestling or UFC for an entire year if they are fired from WWE for disciplinary reasons. They also lose royalties as well.
