Vince McMahon
It appears that the WWE Network was launched at just the right time. Buyrates for Royal Rumble 2014 and Elimination Chamber 2014 suffered a considerable drop from the previous year. Vince McMahon no longer has to tout these numbers to his investors, though, because the company can state that the viewers have shifted over to the WWE Network.

Big Show
Some eyes backstage have been on the Great Khali, as management has not been utilizing him as much lately. He has only worked two televised matches, a win over Damien Sandow on Monday Night Raw and a brief appearance at Royal Rumble 2014. WWE also sent Big Show to India for a promotional tour instead of him recently as well.

While we still do not have a definite answer as to how long he has been upset with the company, we do know now that CM Punk was already contemplating a departure from WWE as early as Royal Rumble 2014. He vented to Mick Foley at the time about not being happy within the company and having trouble dealing with injuries.

When Alexander Rusev made his debut at Royal Rumble 2014, many were under the impression that it was a permanent call up to the main roster. However, it appears that management wants the developmental wrestler to have a little more seasoning by working in WWE NXT for a few more weeks.

Former nWo stable mates Kevin Nash and Booker T have come to terms on a contract. Nash, who surprised wrestling fans by returning to WWE at Royal Rumble 2014, will be working a show for Booker on February 15, and there is a chance that he could be working more dates for the promotion.

Royal Rumble 2014 is barely in the books now, but Jake Roberts, who publicly campaigned for a spot in the big match, has revealed that he has started training for Royal Rumble 2015. The WWE legend feels that it would provide some closure to be able to work one final match for the company.

Some last minute replacements were added to Royal Rumble 2014. Initially, Xavier Woods and Wade Barrett were given spots in the big match, but WWE officials decided to remove them and replace them with JBL and El Torito instead. Big Show was noticeably missing from Monday Night Raw this week. WWE has given him some time off to heal from the hand injury that he suffered at a live event over the weekend. Management had Brock Lesnar attacking him during Royal Rumble 2014 to write him off of television.

At Royal Rumble 2014, fans in the arena heavily showered Rey Mysterio with boos. While that confused many at the beginning, it became evident shortly thereafter that people were upset that Mysterio had the final spot in the match instead of Daniel Bryan.

Good news for wrestling fans who hope that the Undertaker remains in the industry in some sort of capacity after retirement. The legendary performer has agreed to work as an adviser for the WWE developmental program. He will make the occasional trip to the WWE Performance Center and provide evaluations and advice to the performers and the trainers.

WWE is looking for a new social media manager. While that normally would not generate much interest, it does so here in this case because the previous guy that held the spot was Cody Barbierri, the allegedly racist employee that played a huge part in the controversial Alberto Del Rio release earlier in the year. No word yet on whether or not the release is related to the incident, but more on the story should be revealed in the upcoming days and weeks.

Rumors are floating around that Randy Orton suffered a serious injury during the handicap street fight tag team match on Monday Night Raw. It took place early in the match when Dean Ambrose dove out of the ring and on to the heels. Orton reportedly told the trainer that the ruptured disc in his back was messed up. No word yet on whether or not he can work Hell in a Cell 2014, but as a precaution, WWE kept Orton from working Smackdown this week.

Chalk up another victory for Vince McMahon and his quest to draw in a younger audience. The company has reached a deal with Nickelodeon. The network will start airing episodes of Slam City this week. It had previously been airing solely on the WWE Network, but it is now available on television.

Since Nikki Bella and Cameron have confirmed it publicly, the widespread belief among fans is that the cast member of Total Divas are not allowed to hold a championship in WWE. Stephanie McMahon, however, is disputing that rumor. During a recent interview, she flat out denied it when asked about the rumor. McMahon stated that it would be great for one of the cast members to hold the belt because it would drive more attention to the story.

Some are saying that the move will be temporary until WWE can find someone who can fill the position permanently.

The expanding cast of Total Divas will include Alicia Fox next season. WWE has decided to include as many of their female performers as possible on the show, and Alicia was quite willing to sign up for the reality television show. For a lot of the girls, the hope is that the extra exposure will help them build up their name value for when they eventually leave the company and pursue other things.

In an attempt to draw in even more viewers, the producers of Total Divas and WWE have decided to add new faces to the show. Paige was chosen to be one of the two cast additions. She is young, has a different look, is from England and has already been the Divas champion. Speculations are that the show will portray her as the new girl being given preferential treatment from management.

It has now been revealed that Mickie James is interested in making a return to WWE. She recently took several months off from the independent wrestling circuit to give birth to a child. Mickie has expressed interest in the past in returning to the company, but management reportedly did not pursue the move very aggressively. In a sign that he is thoroughly enjoying his time away from WWE, Undertaker was spotted with his wife Michelle McCool at a college football game featuring the Texas Longhorns. The former world heavyweight champion even took the time to pose for pictures with fans, something that he did not do frequently when he was an active performer. Undertaker was also spotted recently at a high school football game.
