Earlier in the week, Scott Steiner challenged Hulk Hogan to show up at Legends of Wrestling and try to body slam him, a feat that he was willing to pay $1 million. Well, to avoid being caught up in any legal issues, the promoter of the event has released a public statement. In it, he states that his company has nothing to do with the challenge or the video. He said that was something Steiner did on his own. He reiterated that Hogan is not a part of the show.

The former Intercontinental Champion will no longer be going on the summer tour because he was escorted out of a wrestling event for being drunk. Hall was sober for quite some time, but he had a relapse.

Chris Hero was said to be there visiting with old friends, which is the adage more frequently used because no one wants to admit that they are in negotiations with a company. Rumors have it that Hero did have a little talk with TNA, so that the two sides can gauge interest in a potential contract. He has been looking for another chance since his WWE release.

The second developmental wrestler to be released by WWE is Tony Briggs, who told his fans through social media on Friday afternoon. He was very thankful of the company and had nothing but nice things to say about those that trained him and helped him. Briggs vowed to make it back to NXT some day, so there is a very good chance that he will pursue his opportunities on the independent wrestling circuit to prove is worth again.

Back in February, it was confirmed that GFW would be based in Las Vegas. Now, it looks like Jeff Jarrett has finalized the deal because he has started to do official promotion for it. While not a lot of details have been released, Jarrett has informed us that it will definitely be taking place this summer. No confirmation yet on a television deal, but the belief is that Global Force Wrestling can help further the cause by doing live events at least.

A surprise appearances was made by Justin Roberts at the House of Hardcore event over the weekend, and the former announcer ripped into WWE, the company that recently released him after years of loyalty and service. He stated that the company was so cancerous that it caused him to lose his passion for wrestling. Roberts also noted that their product was the same thing over and over again. Backstage politics was another criticism he mentioned.

The recently released WWE star decided to go with someone that he views as a brother. Konnan is reportedly the person in charge of managing the booking for Mysterio. He is the one setting him up at shows across the globe.
