WWE releases Brad Maddox

Since he was a natural talker, as evident by the fact that he was once utilized as the on screen general manager of Monday Night Raw, WWE kept Brad Maddox around for as long as they could to see if they could find something that will work for him. Apparently, that quest has been canceled. Maddox has been given his release from his contract. He is now free to work on the independent wrestling circuit.

TNA contacts Goldberg

As some of you may already know, Goldberg and Bram are appearing in a movie together called Check Point, which is currently in post production and will be released some time in 2016. Promotions for the film have already begun, and TNA cleverly found themselves a window of opportunity. Management contacted Goldberg to see if he would be interested in showing up on Impact Wrestling to promote his movie.

Total Divas viewers

The fourth season of Total Divas has ended, and the final numbers have been released. It looks like WWE is going to continue producing more seasons of their reality television show. Nikki Bella, Brie Bella and the other gals were able to draw in approximately a million viewers a week. The show continues to draw in a good amount of fans that are not normally fans of professional wrestling.

Carlito returning to WWE

Earlier in the day, Carlito became a trend on social media because fans were abuzz because rumors surfaced that he was going to be making his surprising return to WWE. He was released from the company five years ago because he violated the wellness policy and refused to go to rehabilitation. World Wrestling Entertainment has been looking to bring back more of their Hispanic fan base.

GFW cancels event

A big fuss was made by the internet wrestling community this week when it was discovered that GFW was canceling some upcoming shows in Texas. Word has now been released that the reason why the promotion canceled those events is because Jeff Jarrett needed to head over to England to negotiation potential television deals in that market. He does not want these shows to run without him being there to manage.

WWE signs Kana

Instead of waiting until she moved to the United States next month, WWE opted to have Kana take her medical exam earlier than expected. The veteran performer from Japan passed the tests, so a contract between the two sides has now been signed. World Wrestling Entertainment released an official statement about the signing, stating that they are excited to have her join the NXT divas division.

Seth Rollins on vacation

Fans that attended WWE live events over the weekends missed out on the chance to see the world heavyweight champion in action. Management gave Seth Rollins a couple of days off, so that he can go on vacation in the Dominican Republic. He went there with his girlfriend, Zahra Schreiber, who was recently released by World Wrestling Entertainment because racial photos showed up on social media.

Bram being deported

Yesterday, Bram shocked the world of professional wrestling when he was arrested for domestic violence. To their credit, TNA did not immediately fire him, citing the need to let the justice system do their job. The belief is that he will eventually be given a release because the publicity is just too negative in the long term. There are also talks that he could be sent back to England because of his criminal record.

CJ Parker not retiring

When CJ Parker announced his retirement earlier in the year, the belief was that he was done with professional wrestling after being given his release by WWE. However, that does not appear to be the case. Apparently, he is only retiring his persona. The former NXT star is heading to New Japan to wrestle there, despite not having established himself in the United States yet. He will be going by the name of Juice Robinson.

Erick Rowan not released

Since a new member of the Wyatt Family made his debut on Monday Night Raw, the internet wrestling community has been speculating about the status of Erick Rowan. Some are under the impression that he is going to be released by WWE. That is not the case. He is currently on the shelf because of a serious injury. When he heals up, there is a good chance that management has him rejoining the stable as the fourth member.
