While a lot of the internet wrestling community is under the assumption that there is hostility between the two companies, TNA officials are actually glad to see ROH being picked up by Destination America. Various executives, such as Dixie Carter, and performers for the company have been showing their support via social media. The move might actually prove to be mutually beneficial for the two promotions, as it creates a bigger night of wrestling for everyone.

Even though he is signed to a contract with WWE now, Samoa Joe is scheduled to make a return to ROH and work a television taping. Of course, that deal has now been complicated because Ring of Honor has now been picked up by Destination America, which means that the promotion can now be seen in every state. World Wrestling Entertainment generally has a policy against performers being used on TV elsewhere.

In a move that shocked the professional wrestling world, Destination America has announced that they have picked up ROH, and their shows will begin airing in a week. The move has obviously led to a lot of speculation by the internet wrestling community about the fate of TNA, where Dixie Carter is holding an emergency meeting with her performers today. The network is airing both promotions on the same night.

Good news if you're a toy collector that loves ROH. The company has officially announced that they will be releasing their first ever set of action figures. Since they have played a major part in the promotion over the last couple of years, Jay Briscoe and Mark Briscoe are going to be among the first set of toys released. Adam Cole is getting one as well. The most interest person getting one, however, is Kevin Owens, who is now wrestling in NXT.

Alberto Del Rio rejects UFC

Back when he was a free agent, Alberto Del Rio was fielding offers from several companies. One of those companies was UFC. The promotion really wanted the former world heavyweight champion to come in and do a couple of fights. However, Del Rio was forced to reject their offer because the two sides could not come to terms on money. He stated that he was doing so well in professional wrestling that it would be a pay cut to jump to MMA.

Since he has long been known as one of the mot controversial characters in all of professional wrestling, the belief was that Scott Steiner would not be joining another major promotion again. However, it appears that his close relationship with Jeff Jarrett has proven that to be wrong. GFW has signed Steiner and added him to their roster. While there is a slight chance he may wrestle, the belief is that he will simply be doing appearances for them.

GFW signs Chris Sabin

Since he is one of the best performers on the independent wrestling circuit, many were under the belief that Jeff Jarrett was going to try to get Chris Sabin under contract once GFW started. Well, apparently, those rumors are true. The promotion has now signed the former world heavyweight champion, and he will more than likely be taking part in the upcoming summer tour. No word yet on what his status with ROH will be now.

Professional wrestling fans have been ecstatic over the rumors that Samoa Joe is going to finally join NXT. That might no longer be the case, as the former world heavyweight champion has signed on for an event with Northeast Wrestling in August. He would not have done that if he was on the verge of signing a contract with WWE because the promotion does not usually allow their performers to work for another company.

Matt Jackson and Nick Jackson opted to go with Jeff Jarrett instead because they wanted to see just how far he can take the GFW promotion. Plus, the schedule in Global Force Wrestling will enable them to continue being stars in New Japan, where they are beloved.
