For more than a decade now, the internet wrestling community has repeated the same tired joke about Kevin Nash tearing his quad whenever his name is mentioned. So, to mock those particular fans, the WWE hall of fame performer decided to trick them last night. After taking a spear outside the ring from Billy Gunn, Nash immediately grabbed his thighs, feigning an injury. The former world heavyweight champion revealed that he is just fine.

Rikishi ignores Too Cool

There was a lot of interesting things said and done during the hall of fame induction speech by Rikishi. One of the more interesting ones was the fact that he refused to mention Scotty 2 Hotty and Brian Christopher, two guys that were integral parts of his rise in WWE. Reports have now surfaced that the three of them had a falling out during an event on the independent wrestling circuit. Too Cool both mentioned something on social media in response.

Jerry Lawler hosting

The internet wrestling community went into outrage yesterday when it was reported that Eva Marie would be replacing Jerry Lawler as the host of the hall of fame ceremony. WWE heard the complaints. Lawler himself stated that the rumors are not true, but there is speculation running around that the front office decided to cancel the change because of the negative reactions on social media. Management wanted to go with a younger host.

For whatever reasons, WWE has decided to replace Jerry Lawler with Eva Marie as the host of the hall of fame ceremony that is taking place at Wrestlemania. That has led to immediate backlash from the online wrestling community. Many voiced their opinions on social media that the red haired diva should not be hosting the event because they do not feel that she is worthy of the honor. A lot of them want Lawler back as the host.

Every since the very first Wrestlemania, celebrities have played a huge part at the biggest wrestling pay per view of the year. This year is no exception. WWE has officially announced that LL Cool J will be there for the opening of the show. The belief is that he will be performing a song or two. The world famous rapper agreed to do the appearance because he is promoting a new app that enables fans to keep up with multiple social media networks at once.

Elijah Burke return

The next series of Impact Wrestling episodes being taped in May should be interesting ones. There are talks that Elijah Burke could be making his return to TNA during that point in time. He even teased it publicly on social media. Burke left the company more than two years ago and has remained active on the independent wrestling circuit. Despite being one of the best talkers in the business, WWE showed no interest in bringing him back on board.

Angelina Love resigns

It appears that TNA remains committed to keeping the talent level of the Knockouts division at a high level. An announcement was made today by John Gaburick on social media that Angelina Love has been signed to a contract extension. She will remain with the company for at least another year. The front office has been working diligently on signing performers to new deals since Impact Wrestling was moved to Destination American in January.

Great Khali school

Previously, it was reported that the Great Khali was interested in opening up a wrestling school in India. Apparently, he has already accomplished that. The former World Heavyweight Champion revealed to the media that the academy is already up and running. Khali already has some students working out at his facility. The 42 year old also mentioned that WWE wanted him to send them three performers a year for NXT tryouts.

When it comes to real life drama, there is a certain portion of the internet wrestling community that wants to believe that everything is a work. Thus, a good amount of people are under the belief that WWE will do a story line between AJ Lee and Stephanie McMahon because the former bashed the latter on social media. As of right now, there are no such plans. The Authority is occupied with the top stories and will not be working with the divas.

Kevin Owens selling

This experiment that WWE did with Kevin Owens being given an immediate push has seemingly paid off instantly. Not only is there more interest from the internet wrestling community, but ticket sales at NXT live events have been doing better than usual since Owens was booked in main event matches against Finn Balor during the tour. Owens is also reportedly moving a good amount of merchandise, so a promotion to the main roster is expected.
