El Torito
For those of you that did not watch the Payback 2014 kickoff match, El Torito defeated Hornswoggle with a flying top rope moonsault. Hornswoggle had gotten distracted by thinking that he won after pulling off the mask. Afterwards, Hornswoggle was forced to sit in a barber chair while El Torito shaved his head. Hornswoggle is now bald, and expect WWE to promote that on Monday Night Raw this week.

Crazy Steve
In order to bring a new infusion of blood to their talent roster, TNA has signed Crazy Steve, a professional wrestler who made a name for himself on the independent wrestling circuit in Canada. He will be a member of the new Menagerie stable with Mike Knox, Rebel and Rob Terry, who will be working underneath a mask for this role.

Great Muta
Rumors have been floating around for the last couple of months that Rob Terry was going to be brought back to TNA after gaining experience in OVW and Japan, where he worked with the Great Muta in Wrestle-1. Now, the news is official. Terry will be working underneath a mask as a member of the stable featuring Mike Knox and Rebel.

Bray Wyatt
In one of the more interesting opening segments in the history of Monday Night Raw, Bray Wyatt brought out a group of kids to sing to John Cena, who was cutting a promo in the middle of the steel cage. WWE then had the kids putting on the sheep mask and surrounding the ring, which caused Cena to be thoroughly disturbed. Wyatt laughed uncontrollably to end the segment.

Adrian Neville
While a lot of fans have already forgotten about him, a few still wonder about his whereabouts and status within WWE. It turns out that Camacho is still with the company, as he worked a WWE NXT television taping this week. He lost to Adrian Neville. His partner, Hunico, frequently works under the mask as the new Sin Cara, for those that are not aware.

Sin Cara

Sin Cara is going to be making his return to the wrestling ring soon, but it will not be for WWE. The masked star is set to work a show on February 1, 2014 down in Mexico, which is a further sign that a contract extension with WWE is not in the works.

Tyson Kidd
Even though the mask has been designed and ordered, it looks like Tyson Kidd might not be doing that gimmick after all. Some were pushing for him to receive a new character and push on the main roster because of his long tenure with WWE. However, others are against the idea and want him to remain in WWE NXT to work with the developmental wrestlers.

Earlier this week, it was revealed that WWE was planning to put Tyson Kidd under a mask, so that he can receive a push with his new character. Some further details have leaked out. It is now rumored that the gimmick will be a Luchador, which would be interesting because Kidd would be a Canadian performer pretending to be a Mexican wrestler.

Rumors are floating around right now that WWE is considering a character change for Tyson Kidd. One of the ideas is to have him become a masked wrestler. Management reportedly feels that his character has been a lower card guy for so long that fans will have trouble viewing him as anything more. A mask would enable Kidd to have somewhat of a fresh start.

Rumors are spreading quickly through the industry that Sheamus and Hunico were involved in a real life backstage fight during the Smackdown taping on Tuesday night. Reports are stating that Hunico, who has been working under a mask as Sin Cara, was the one that got the upper hand in the scuffle. No word yet on what started the situation.

Bret Hart
Years before the Bret Hart screwjob in Montreal, Vince McMahon pulled the same trick on Wendi Richter. Since she would not sign a new contract with the company, McMahon wanted to take the belt off of her, so instead of telling her about it, the future WWE CEO opted to put the Fabulous Moolah in a mask. Along with the referee, Moolah changed the ending and took the belt off of Richter, whom the legendary performer trained.

For those of us that watched him in WCW, La Parka will forever have a small place the hearts of professional wrestling fans. The story of his mask has been a topic of interest for people. After going through several different characters and several different masks, the performer finally settled on the skeleton look because it was inspired by the Day of the Dead celebration that takes place in Mexico each year.

Taking heavy influences from the design of the Grand Theft Auto video game, Jay Lethal has an awesome new shirt. It basically features him in cartoon mode, where he is Undertaker, Hulk Hogan and Randy Savage. It also appears that his character is wearing the mask previously worn by Sami Zayn as well.

Eric Young and Joseph Park, who worked under the mask as Abyss on Impact Wrestling this week, were heavily praised by TNA for their recent performance. Their hardcore match came off really well, both with the live audience and on television. Plus, their overall selling of the story line over the last few weeks have been better than expected.

In the opening match at Wrestlemania 1, Tito Santana defeated Buddy Rose, who was working underneath a mask as the Executioner, after applying the Figure Four leg lock. The match itself lasted less than five minutes, but it will forever be historic because it was the first match of the night.

Since she has a little bit of free time now, Trish Stratus is dabbling into Hollywood again. The former WWE diva has been cast in an upcoming movie called Gridlocked, where she will be portraying a lead member of the SWAT team. The star of the movie is Danny Glover. The film is being shot in Toronto and London, so Trish will not have to be away from home too much.

Even though he has not been with the company for quite a few months now, Jim Ross was actually under contract to WWE. Until today, that is. The legendary commentator revealed to fans through social media that his contract officially came to an end this week. While Ross has stated before that he would love to be the lead commentator for Monday Night Raw again, it does not appear that Vince McMahon is interested in that.

In a sign that the financial situation in TNA is not as bad as many make it out to be, the company has signed new deals with three of their performers. Sam Shaw and Brooke Tessmacher are signed to new multiple year contracts, while international star Seiya Sanada has agreed to a one year deal. There were a lot of concerns about the company when they released several performers, so much of that should be alleviated now that they are signing new deals with their workers.

For those of you that missed Monday Night Raw this week, Brock Lesnar made his much anticipated return to WWE and challenged John Cena at Summerslam 2014 for the world heavyweight championship. The story is that Paul Heyman convinced Triple H to go with Plan C because it was the best chance at getting the strap away from Cena.

Hulk Hogan
Since they're paying him a tremendous amount of money, Hulk Hogan has been traveling the globe for WWE. After being the unofficial featured attraction in Japan, the former world heavyweight champion has headed down to Mexico to do some promotion work for the company. WWE is doing a tour of the country soon, and they're hoping that Hogan can help spike interest much like he did in Japan.

Big E Langston
On Monday Night Raw this week, Xavier Woods, who is only used sporadically on television by WWE, made a surprising appearance after a tag team match featuring Curtis Axel, Ryback, Kofi Kingston and Big E Langston. He cut a quick promo about how Kingston and Langston cannot get very far in WWE by being nice guys. This is the start of the long rumored stable, which has already been compared to the Nation of Domination by fans online.

During Monday Night Raw, a segment aired where Bray Wyatt, Luke Harper and Erick Rowan attacked Chris Jericho in the locker room. That was actually a trick by WWE, as the footage was filmed at the pay per view on Sunday night. Jericho had actually hopped on a flight to Los Angeles on Monday morning, so that he can begin promotional work for the new Fozzy album.

For those that missed Monday Night Raw, WWE did a story where Stephanie McMahon was arrested during the show because she assaulted Brie Bella, who happened to be sitting in the front row as a fan. The segment generated a huge ovation from the audience, and it was a major topic of discussion online. This is designed to lead to a big match between Stephanie and Brie at Summerslam 2014.

TMZ has quite the fascination with WWE nowadays. The tabloid website recently reported that Nikki Bella, who recently received her real estate license, was spotted showing homes to Cameron and her boyfriend. The couple is getting pretty serious and is wanting to move in together. Cameron, who is one of the stars of Total Divas, stated that she wants a five bedroom place.

Fans who watched WWE Battleground 2014 noticed that Rob Van Dam did not perform. It has now been revealed that the former world heavyweight champion was forced to miss the pay per view because of an undisclosed injury. An update has been promised by WWE in regards to the nature of the ailment. No word yet on whether or not RVD will be missing time from the road.

Since the company has been releasing people left and right due to the budget cuts, there is some understandable paranoia backstage in WWE nowadays. Recently, people were under the impression that Road Dogg had been released because he was not around for a couple of the television taping. Something must have changed drastically backstage in WWE, as Ricky Steamboat appears to be back with the company. The legendary performer had to inform promoters that he would no longer be able to make appearances unless they contacted WWE to get approval. Steamboat booked himself on a lot of independent wrestling shows after being released from the company.

Vince McMahon decided to take a huge gamble at WWE Battleground 2014 when he had Lana and Alexander Rusev cutting a promo that hinted about the recent airplane disaster in the Ukraine. That received plenty of backlash from the media and from fans on social media websites. It got to the point where WWE even released a official statement with a veiled jab at those who are complaining.

One the things that made Kenta Kobayashi so famous in Japan was his diverse moves set. Unfortunately, though, a lot of his signature maneuvers cannot e utilized in WWE. His Go 2 Sleep finisher is commonly associated with CM Punk nowadays. His knee finisher and submission move are both being used by Daniel Bryan. The belief is that WWE will have him come up with new moves in developmental.

He volunteered his time as a coach for NubAbility Athletics Foundation's All-Sport Summer Camp in Du Quoin, Illinois. The former WWE star said he's learned more from the campers than he has taught them, and he plans to return next year.

Since it's only a couple of weeks away from the end of the six month commitment, WWE has already sent out renewal notices to subscribers of the WWE Network. Interestingly enough, there are no special deals to entice people to remain customers. The belief is that with Vince McMahon in cost cutting mode, the company simply wants to make as much money as they can, so there might not be a loyalty discount.

Ricky Steamboat has quietly been released from his contract. The former Intercontinental Champion had been working in the talent relations department under Triple H over the past year.

In the previous generation, Sean Waltman was the benchmark when it comes to fans giving him heat because they legitimately resented the performer. It looks like Eva Marie is going to be taking that mantle now. During a recent appearance at a WWE NXT live event, the red haired diva was treated rather rudely by the audience. Things became even worse after she put on a very sub par performance as well.
