Brock Lesnar advice

When CM Punk decided to join UFC after leaving WWE, he turned to Brock Lesnar for some advice. The former NCAA champion was quite eager to help. Punk asked Lesnar what the most difficult part of the transition was, so Lesnar told him that the hardest part was letting go. Now that he has trained extensively, Punk realizes that the advice was absolutely sound. He admits to punching too lightly at times because of his pro wrestling background.

MVP signs contract

It looks like MVP has found himself a new home in professional wrestling. The official announcement has been made in regards to him signing a new contract to remain with TNA for at least another year. The former United States Heavyweight Champion has been quite pleased with how the company has been utilizing him since he started with them. His status with the company had been a bit of a question mark with Samoa Joe leaving.

Shawn Stasiak return

Since a lot of fans are unaware of his status since leaving the industry, Shawn Stasiak decided to send out a video message this week to fans. He wanted people to know that he is making a return to professional wrestling. Stasiak stated that he was available for booking and provided contact information for those that might be interested. To generate a little bit of hype, he even teased that he might return to WWE, which is a bit unlikely.

Samoa Joe last match

If you are a TNA fan that is sentimental about Samoa Joe leaving the company, you are going to want to tune in to Impact Wrestling on March 20. That night will showcase his final match in the promotion. Fortunately for those that love great in ring action, Joe was paired with Austin Aries in that match, which was filmed when the company was doing a tour of England earlier in the year. No word yet on how he will be written off of television.

Chris Sabin tour

For those of you that are wondering, Chris Sabin is very much still a professional wrestler. He has been working on the independent wrestling circuit since leaving TNA. The former world heavyweight champion is actually doing a tour of Europe right now. He has been booked by promotions in a couple of countries. No word yet on what Sabin intends on doing in the long term. No reports of interest from Lucha Underground just yet.

Samoe Joe departure

The internet wrestling community reacted very negatively upon hearing the news that Samoa Joe was leaving TNA. Apparently, the same is true of the locker room. Reports have surfaced that the majority of people backstage are upset that the former world heavyweight champion is leaving the promotion. Joe was very well liked backstage by his peers, and some even viewed him as a locker room leader. His departure has affected morale a bit.

Justin Gabriel leaving WWE

Now that word has spread about his release from the company, a lot of wrestling fans have been wondering what led to Justin Gabriel leaving WWE. While he has yet to make a public statement in regards to the matter, the belief is that he simply wanted more freedom as a wrestler. Management rarely used him on television, and he was never featured in a prominent role over the last year. Gabriel was essentially just a filler performer.

Velvet Sky leaves TNA

With speculations surrounding her departure from the company floating around like crazy right now, there are now talks that Velvet Sky is indeed leaving TNA. However, it might not be a permanent thing. The belief is that she wanted to take some time off, so that she can spend time with her real life boyfriend, Bully Ray. He happens to be a free agent right now and is exploring his options in wrestling, both overseas and domestic.

TNA signs Madison Rayne

Another person that will not be leaving TNA anytime soon is Madison Rayne. The extremely sexy former Knockouts champion has just signed a new contract with the company and will be featured on Impact Wrestling when the show moves to Destination America this month. Madison is considered one of the better female performers in the entire industry, so management knew that they needed to put her name in ink as soon as the television deal was signed.

TNA signs Ethan Carter

It has been a busy week of negotiations for TNA, as the company is hoping to lock down their roster before Impact Wrestling makes its debut on Destination America. Another person that has been signed to a long term deal is Ethan Carter, the former WWE developmental wrestler who has found himself a new home. Many were under the impression that he was not going to be leaving, since management has shown a commitment to him.
