Not wanting to give up the spotlight, Jerry Lawler has decided to risk his own health by stepping into the ring at an independent wrestling event this past weekend. He worked a match for Maryland Championship Wrestling on Saturday evening. Lawler teamed up with the heavyweight champion of the promotion in a handicap tag team match against three opponents. Since he is a big star, the local guys were forced to do the job.

While he is quite happy with his current job, WWE has not ruled out a potential return by Jonathan Coachman. The company really liked what he brought to the table and view him as a valuable asset. The fact that he has been working for ESPN for a couple of years now means that his name value has increased tremendously. It would provide professional wrestling with some more credibility to have someone from the mainstream media.

For those of you that are not aware, Taryn Terrell has another job outside of being the Knockouts Champion in TNA. She is also a stunt woman in Hollywood. However, do not expect her to follow in the footsteps of Dwayne Johnson and Batista by leaving the wrestling business for movies. Taryn stated publicly that wrestling is her priority. She even rejected a handful of movies over the last couple of months because of wrestling.

After the shock of her retirement announcement wore down a bit, the internet wrestling community then began to speculate about the reason why AJ Lee was leaving her dream job in WWE so soon. One of the more discussed reasons was that the diminutive diva is pregnant. That appears to be unlikely, as the front office would never allow her to work at Wrestlemania and the following Monday Night Raw in that condition.

Some gals just need a little excitement in their lives. Since she did not want to live out of a luggage forever, Taylor Wilde decided to walk away from professional wrestling and start a new career. She wanted something that was a bit more invigorating and fulfilling than a typical job, so she enrolled in firefighting school. The former TNA Knockout has now graduated and has found herself a job as a full time firefighter.

In a very touching display of compassion, WWE announced on the latest episode of Monday Night Raw that they would be inducting Connor Michalek into the hall of fame during Wrestlemania weekend. He was the terminally ill kid that was a huge fan of professional wrestling. To their credit, the company brought him in and allowed him to meet his favorite stars, including Daniel Bryan. Triple H even wrestled the kid and did the job for him in the ring.

Some are now looking through the list of performers who have gone through the developmental program and are making assumptions about their situations. One of the ones going around the internet wrestling community involves Corey Graves. There are those that believe that management gave him a job as a commentator to keep him from speaking out.

When TNA brought Josh Mathews in to replace Mike Tenay, they were hoping that a younger commentator could breathe some new life into Impact Wrestling as they make their way to Destination America. That is exactly what he accomplished. Management is said to be quite pleased with how the move has worked out. Mathews has done a solid job, and the show does have a fresh feeling after years of Tenay.

While he has done a fairly good job of saying the right things to the media, it is being said that WWE is internally concerned about Roman Reigns and his attitude towards the fans. Word has it that he is growing resentful towards the criticism that he has been receiving from the internet wrestling community. Management should be concerned about that because him lashing back at the fans would jeopardize his chances as a top guy.
