TNA threatening lawsuit

In response to all the rumors that are floating around right now about Impact Wrestling being canceled, TNA has issued an official statement on the matter. The company is threatening to sue those that are facilitating the speculation. Fans are still waiting for public denial from Dixie Carter, but the belief is that the company would not be threatening legal action if they were actually informed of a cancellation from Destination America.

Impact Wrestling canceled

As is usually the case, there are a lot of rumors swirling around about Impact Wrestling. The latest one involves Destination America losing interest in the product, even though the network has never made any statement suggesting such a thing. There are talks that Dixie Carter agreed to an out clause in September, which means that the network would be able to cancel the weekly show and TNA would be without a home once again.

Later on this summer, TNA will have neither of the Hardys on Impact Wrestling. As many of you already now, Jeff Hardy is sidelined by an injury suffered during a dirt bike accident. His older brother Matt Hardy is going to be taking some time off as well. His reason, though, is because he wants to stay home and look after his pregnant wife. Reby Sky revealed the decision on social media and should be giving birth very soon.

Impact Wrestling vs Smackdown

It looks like TNA is going to be competing with WWE head to head once again. This time, however, it will be Impact Wrestling going up against Smackdown. The Fight Network has revealed that they are moving the weekly wrestling show in Canada to same Wednesday night time slot that Destination America announced earlier in the day. The decision to do so was more a result of the network executives as opposed to Dixie Carter.

With rumors swirling around that Destination America was losing interest in TNA, it turns out that the executives at the network are actually trying to help them out. News surfaced today that Impact Wrestling will be moving to Wednesday nights on a permanent basis. That is good news for Dixie Carter and company because it is really difficult to draw in viewers on Friday night, where a lot of people are going out to celebrate the start of the weekend.

The most interesting network on that list is Spike, which recently allowed Impact Wrestling to leave.

To clear up all the speculation surrounding his return to TNA, Bully Ray took to the air to reveal that his appearance on Impact Wrestling was a one time thing. He stated that the front office called and told him that they needed a special guest referee for a world heavyweight championship match. Since he thought it would be fun, Bully opted to sign on for the episode. He stated that he and Devon still enjoy having independent status.
