WWE signs Stevie Ray

It looks like WWE has finally decided to sign the other half of Harlem Heat. However, do not expect Stevie Ray to be donning the wrestling gear anytime soon. He announced that he has now signed a legends contract. That means that the company can use his likeness while also booking Stevie for a couple of appearances a year. The belief is that this might lead to a DVD or other merchandise for the former world tag team champions.

Eva Marie joins Dwayne Johnson

It appears that Eva Marie has one of the smartest business minds in the wrestling business. Not only did she choose to learn from Brian Kendrick in the ring, she has now decided to sign Dany Garcia as her business manager. For those that do not know, Garcia was once married to Dwayne Johnson and is currently handling his business affairs. Johnson stated that he is building an entertainment empire, and Eva is now going to be a part of that success.

Even though he is signed to a contract with WWE now, Samoa Joe is scheduled to make a return to ROH and work a television taping. Of course, that deal has now been complicated because Ring of Honor has now been picked up by Destination America, which means that the promotion can now be seen in every state. World Wrestling Entertainment generally has a policy against performers being used on TV elsewhere.

Some further details have been revealed about the negotiations between Tammy Sytch and Vivid. The studio wants her to shoot a porn scene in the middle of a wrestling ring. However, the former WWE star feels that it would be a bit campy. She thinks that the idea has been played out. Sytch would much rather shoot the movie in a traditional setting, such as a hotel room or a big fancy house in the hills. This is the reason why she has not signed yet.

Since he has long been known as one of the mot controversial characters in all of professional wrestling, the belief was that Scott Steiner would not be joining another major promotion again. However, it appears that his close relationship with Jeff Jarrett has proven that to be wrong. GFW has signed Steiner and added him to their roster. While there is a slight chance he may wrestle, the belief is that he will simply be doing appearances for them.

Since he is one of the best performers on the independent wrestling circuit, many were under the belief that Jeff Jarrett was going to try to get Chris Sabin under contract once GFW started. Well, apparently, those rumors are true. The promotion has now signed the former world heavyweight champion, and he will more than likely be taking part in the upcoming summer tour. No word yet on what his status with ROH will be now.

Professional wrestling fans have been ecstatic over the rumors that Samoa Joe is going to finally join NXT. That might no longer be the case, as the former world heavyweight champion has signed on for an event with Northeast Wrestling in August. He would not have done that if he was on the verge of signing a contract with WWE because the promotion does not usually allow their performers to work for another company.

However, the former WWE star does work the occasion match on the independent wrestling circuit. He just doesn't make a big deal out of it. There are now rumors floating around the Jeff Jarrett might be able to convince Haas to become a more active performer after he revealed that GFW had signed Shelton Benjamin to a contract.

Since they have increased their popularity and name value over the past year, the Young Bucks were heavily sought after. TNA was one of the companies that tried to sign them. Matt Jackson and Nick Jackson opted to go with Jeff Jarrett instead because they wanted to see just how far he can take the GFW promotion. Plus, the schedule in Global Force Wrestling will enable them to continue being stars in New Japan, where they are beloved.
