As soon as word spread that Mickie James was making a big announcement on Impact Wrestling later on this week, rumors started to spread that the popular Knockout was going to be announcing her retirement. That is definitely a possibility as she is now a mother. However, TNA could be pulling a swerve by having her announce something entirely different. It could end up being something as simple as Mickie signing a new contract.

Jeff Jarrett signing talent

Since there has been no announcement, a lot of fans are under the assumption that Jeff Jarrett is not working on his roster. That is simply not the case. It has now been revealed that GFW has reached out to several of the top independent wrestlers to negotiate deals with them. Some have already signed, but Global Force Wrestling is not ready to make the announcement just yet. They want to build a deeper pool of talent first.

Wade Barrett to Hollywood

Unless he changes his mind in the near future, Wade Barrett still intends on retiring from WWE when his current contract expires. The belief is that he wants to try his hands at Hollywood. Rumors are floating around that the reason why he signed on to star in Eliminators was so that he could gauge interest from the studios. There is always a chance that he could sign a contract extension and remain in professional wrestling if the interest is low.

New TNA Knockouts

In a sign that the company is still looking to upgrade their roster, TNA has announced that they have signed two of the top female performers on the independent wrestling circuit. Mia Yim and Marti Belle have been signed to contracts and will be debuting as the newest Knockouts on the roster very soon. Yim, in particular, caught the attention of the internet wrestling community on social media because she is friends with several of the big names.

TNA helping Destination America

Considering how well things have worked out for both sides, Dixie Carter is looking like a genius for signing a deal to get Impact Wrestling on Destination America. The network recently announced that TNA has helped them have their best first quarter in history. Carter recently secured some television deals in Canada and a couple of countries in Europe. That has helped to bring in more revenue for the company.

Uhaa Nation to WWE

A new class of developmental wrestlers started working for NXT this week. Among them is Uhaa Nation, the highly touted 27 year old from the independent wrestling circuit. He is expected to be the star of the class. Nation was signed late last year, but he had some things to work out before starting with the company. In a rather interesting note, the majority of the class is international guys that have very limited wrestling experience.

While he did receive a bit of attention from the internet wrestling community by making a return to the ring and challenging Kevin Owens to a brawl, Alex Riley received ten times that amount when he decided to take a little jab at AJ Lee, who recently decided to retire from WWE. He mocked the tattoo that she got whenever she became the longest reigning Divas Champion by joking that she should get one to commemorate her departure.

Ronda Rousey at Hell in a Cell

While Dana White has yet to sign off on the deal, WWE will continue to push forward with the story line for Ronda Rousey. The hope is that they can eventually convince UFC to allow her to work a professional wrestling match against Stephanie McMahon. It is being said that her next appearance could be at Hell in a Cell, as the pay per view is in Los Angeles. The world famous fighter really does want to get in the ring and try it out.

Since there is speculation within the internet wrestling community that Brock Lesnar purposely bladed himself at Wrestlemania during his main event title match against Roman Reigns, WWE felt that they needed to address the issue publicly. Management stated that it against their policy for the performers to purposely cause themselves to bleed during any of their shows. They stated that they are a family friendly product.

As many of us witnessed, Brock Lesnar lost a bit of blood during his Wrestlemania main event match against Roman Reigns. There are speculations from the internet wrestling community that Vince McMahon allowed him to blade himself, a policy that the company has banned. Rumors stem from a video where it appears that the referee handed something to Reigns as he was laying on the floor outside the ring.
