If Tommy Dreamer wanted an upgrade for announcer, then he might take a look at Justin Roberts. He still has passion for professional wrestling. Roberts only left WWE because he had grown disenchanted with some of the things that the front office was doing behind the scenes. Otherwise, he would have remained in the industry. House of Hardcore could benefit by bringing in another familiar voice and face for television.

Earlier in the week, Ross stated that he had an interesting deal on the table.

He recently teased through social media that there is a big announcement coming for House of Hardcore. The ECW legend stated that he is waiting for contracts to be finalized. With his track record, it would not come as a shock to anyone if he were able to secure a television deal for his events.

Kurt Angle contract details

Kurt Angle revealed an interesting detail about his contract during a recent interview with the MMA Hour. He stated that he was only required to work 40 dates a year for TNA. Since the company tapes approximately 50 episodes of Impact Wrestling each year, that means that the former world heavyweight champion is not actually required to work house shows. Angle could opt to do some of them if he wishes, however.

Justin Roberts bashes WWE

A surprise appearances was made by Justin Roberts at the House of Hardcore event over the weekend, and the former announcer ripped into WWE, the company that recently released him after years of loyalty and service. He stated that the company was so cancerous that it caused him to lose his passion for wrestling. Roberts also noted that their product was the same thing over and over again. Backstage politics was another criticism he mentioned.

Matt Striker still wrestling

For the majority of the time, you can see Matt Striker doing commentary for companies such as Lucha Underground, GFW and New Japan. However, that does not mean that he has hung up his wrestling tights for good. Over the weekend, Striker worked a match for the House of Hardcore show that was promoted by Tommy Dreamer. He took the pin fall loss to former TNA star Amazing Red. Striker might still continue to wrestle some more.

Koko B Ware bird

During a recent interview with Under the Mat Radio, Koko B Ware revealed some bad news for professional wrestling fans who grew up watching him during the 1980s. Frankie suffered a horrific death an unspecified amount of time ago. The popular pet bird was in the house when it caught on fire. The WWE hall of fame inductee also revealed that he has another pet bird that he also named Frankie. They apparently look identical.

House of Hardcore VIII

When it comes to putting together a wrestling card, very few people are as good as Tommy Dreamer. With just the first three matches announced, he already has a stacked card for House of Hardcore VIII, which is taking place in the ECW Arena on Marc 7. Christopher Daniels and Frankie Kazarian are taking on Bully Ray and Devon. Matt Jackson and Nick Jackson are up against Austin Aries and Bobby Roode. Dreamer will take on Eric Young.

TNA live events

Since the company now has a new television deal with Destination America, many fans are naturally wondering if TNA will be hitting the road soon and doing live events. As of right now, that is not in the plans by Dixie Carter and her staff. The goal is to build up the brand again through Impact Wrestling. Once they have enough momentum, then they will consider going back on the road to do house shows. Management wants to avoid losing money.
