Abyss gives back ring

When asked recently if he still has the WWE Hall of Fame ring given to him by Hulk Hogan during a story line, Abyss revealed that he gave that back as soon as the program was over. Some fans are still under the belief that it was a legitimate gift. During the interview, the long time member of TNA also stated that he does not regret turning down the contract that World Wrestling Entertainment offered him. A match with Undertaker was also offered.

While all of the details of his contract have yet to be revealed, one interesting information on the pact between Shane McMahon and WWE has made it to the surface. The former vice president of World Wrestling Entertainment is being paid $120,000 for his appearances on Monday Night Raw before his big Hell in a Cell steel cage match at Wrestlemania against the Undertaker. That's more than what some full time performers are being paid.

Daniel Bryan announces retirement

In a move that has been expected but still surprising, Daniel Bryan has announced that he is going to retire from professional wrestling. The former world heavyweight champion attempted to gain his release from WWE so that he can go wrestle on the independent wrestling circuit. However, Vince McMahon refused to let him out of his contract, which is similar to the situation that Rey Mysterio was stuck in not too long ago.

While most everyone knows by now that New Japan legend Shinsuke Nakamura signed a contract with WWE, very little is known about the details of the agreement. For what it is worth, Tokyo Sports is reporting that Nakamura signed a three year deal with World Wrestling Entertainment, which would give him plenty of time to prove that he can be a star on the main roster. The company has been desperately seeking international stars.

Even though he has only been with WWE for less than a month, AJ Styles has already picked up some backstage heat. Even worse, the heat is with Vince McMahon himself. The CEO is upset with Styles because he signed a deal with a toy company prior to signing his contract with World Wrestling Entertainment. This is the same company that signed Kevin Owens back when he was receiving his big push against John Cena last year.

Jeff Hardy signs TNA extension

After months of pondering his next couple of chapters in professional wrestling, Jeff Hardy has decided to forego an opportunity to return to WWE, the company that helped make him a global sensation. Instead, he opted to sign a contract extension with TNA, the company that gave him another chance to be a part of the industry that he grew up loving. No word yet on the terms of the deal, but it should be at least a year.

As some of you may already know, Rosa Mendes has been away from Monday Night Raw because she is currently pregnant. She recently noted that she was the first pregnant diva that WWE has employed. Many backstage believe that Rosa would have been released from her contract had Total Divas not been in existence. World Wrestling Entertainment felt that her pregnancy would be good for their reality television show.

For those of you that are wondering, Christian is still under contract with WWE. The former world heavyweight champion has been sidelined for quite some time because of injury concerns, and there is a very good chance that he will never wrestle against for World Wrestling Entertainment. The man legally known as Jay Reso is still making money from the company but not nearly as much as it would be if he were actually on tour.

By now, most wrestling fans know that Kurt Angle will no longer be an in ring performer for TNA once his contract expires in a couple of weeks. However, reports have now surfaced that the former world heavyweight champion is in negotiations with the company on a new contract, which would see him being an ambassador for the promotion. Angle would also be working with younger performers and teaching them how to become a star.

TNA offer to Karl Anderson

Back when he decided that it was time to leave New Japan and head back to the United States, Karl Anderson negotiated with TNA on a contract. Reports have now surfaced that the offer on the table from management was for a yearly salary of $200,000. Anderson turned that down and opted to go with WWE instead. No word yet on what World Wrestling Entertainment is paying Karl, but he felt strongly enough to turn down the other offer.
