Rockstar Spud annoying

It appears that TNA had a well written plan all along for Rockstar Spud. They purposely made him an annoying character when he first made his debut in the company. The goal was to make fans have strong feelings towards him, even if some of it was negative. In professional wrestling, no heat is the worst heat. The creative department was then deftly able to slowly convert his character into a lovable underdog that could be a serious threat in the ring.

Bullet Club in GFW

In case you do not follow the international wrestling scene, one of the hottest acts in the world right now is the Bullet Club, a heel stable that has taken over New Japan. Aside from a couple of quick appearances, the group has not been seen much in the United States. That might be changing soon. During a recent interview, Jeff Jarrett hinted that the group, which his character is a member of, could be headed to GFW in the near future.

Batista in Highlander movie

The rumors have now been confirmed. Batista has been officially cast for the new Highlander movie being made. He will star as a character named The Kurgan. The former WWE star is actually the first person on the cast to be officially confirmed. No word yet on when the film will start shooting, but the 46 year old is currently doing the latest James Bond movie. With that busy of a schedule, do not expect to see another return to wrestling yet.

Kalisto gay character

Reports surfaced earlier this week that WWE was going to bring Kalisto up to the main roster to work a gay character. Apparently, that did not sit too well with the internet wrestling community. Management has reportedly had a change of heart and is leaning against the idea, even though the character was played extremely well by the masked performer. He might just be allowed to keep his current character with the mask on the main roster.

Bo Dallas and Bray Wyatt

While the internet wrestling community has been yearning for some sort of interaction between the real life brothers, WWE has no plan for a program featuring both Bo Dallas and Bray Wyatt. An idea has been floated around since both characters have elements of mind control, but management feels that it is too much of a stretch for fans to believe. Also, there is not a lot of support backstage for Dallas being utilized as an upper level performer.

JBL apologizes

Since he unintentionally upset the internet wrestling community, JBL decided to go on social media to provide an apology and an explanation. He stated the "zombie Eddie Guerrero" comment was done in jest and that he would never insult his good friend. The WWE commentator also stated that he had just discussed the Rick Grimes character from the Walking Dead television series. That was why he made the reference to Guerrero being a zombie.

Bray Wyatt winning Royal Rumble

While the consensus among the internet wrestling community is that either Roman Reigns or Daniel Bryan will end up winning the Royal Rumble match tonight, a dark horse candidate has emerged. Reports have surfaced that WWE is seriously considering giving the honor to Bray Wyatt tonight. He has several people backstage who are pushing for him to be elevated into the top spot because his character has potential to thrive.

Anyone that has been on a social media website over the last couple of days will already know about the incident involving Will Ferrell throwing a basketball at the face of a cheerleader. It was actually a scene that was being filmed for an upcoming comedy featuring the famous actor. For wrestling fans, this is of note because the woman portraying the character being assaulted is none other than TNA Knockout Taryn Terrell.

Brock Lesnar leaving WWE

While there are still a good amount of professional wrestling fans who are critical of the guy, Brock Lesnar is said to be quite professional backstage and a bit unselfish when it comes to how management portrays him. The feeling is that he has no problem with putting someone over during the final stages of his contract with WWE. Management wants to protect his character, though, in case he wants to do another stint in the industry after Wrestlemania.
