Piper and Honky feud

Earlier in the year, Roddy Piper and Honky Tonk Man were engaged in a war of words. Piper called him an asshole who could sing and dance like his character claims to be able to do. Things settled down a bit between the former WWE stars. Now that Piper is dead, Honky reveals that the two of them had planned on meeting at a wrestling convention to figure out what the issues are and bury the hatchet once and for all.

Brutus Beefcake

Hogan and Beefcake brothers

Here is an interesting tidbit on Brutus Beefcake. Back when he and Hulk Hogan started their professional wrestling careers together during the late 1970s, they were billed as brothers. Since they really wanted people to believe that, they made it a point to stay in character outside of the arena. It caused enough confusion that many people, including those in the industry, really believed that they were blood brothers.

While his character was always against the United States of America, an interesting tidbit about the Iron Sheik is that he actually was an assistant wrestling coach for the country during the 1972 Olympics. The former world heavyweight champion competed in the Olympics for Iran, but when he moved to America, he changed his allegiance in the sport.

On Tuesday, WWE taped an episode of Smackdown in Portland. Among the more notable faces backstage was none other than Chael Sonnen. The former UFC star was there to meet up with Michael Cole for some reason. Many are under the impression that he could be negotiating a deal to join World Wrestling Entertainment as an on screen character.

The internet wrestling community absolutely loves to speculate, so it comes as no surprise that many are under the belief that Fandango is the one that made Rosa Mendes pregnant. Some are not able to differentiate between real life and on screen characters. Rosa has a boyfriend outside of the business. She should be taking her break from WWE very soon.

During Impact Wrestling, TNA ran a controversial segment featuring Mickie James and James Storm. I the goal was to get everyone talking about their promotion, then it worked out beautifully because there are a lot of anger being directed towards them. Management was forced to issue a statement because the internet wrestling community was under the assumption that the character had been killed off. Mickie is in fact still alive and recovering.

Jim Ross criticizes TNA

Since he has worked in the industry and remains a big fan, Jim Ross likes to discuss things that are currently taking place on television. He is not a big fan of the train segment that TNA did on Impact Wrestling this week. Ross stated that he is a big fan of both Mickie James and James Storm, but he feels that the creative department is giving them really bad material to work with. He also mentioned that he likes where Storm is taking his character.

Kane defends character

There are sectors of the internet wrestling community that really cannot handle change. Kane is fully aware of this because he still gets a good amount of fans that tell him that he has ruined his legacy by switching over to the corporate puppet character. Glen Jacobs defends himself by stating that when you are in WWE for as long as he has been, you need to prove that you can add wrinkles to your character to keep it interesting.
