While a lot of wrestling fans still clamor for his return to WWE, Shane McMahon has expressed no desire to do so. In fact, he has been avoiding the family business for quite some time now. While everyone involved has been denying the backstage heat rumors, it speaks volume that McMahon doesn't even bother to attend Wrestlemania any more. That is the biggest event of the year, and one would expect him to at least be in attendance.

Hector Guerrero leaves TNA

After eight years with the company, Hector Guerrero has decided to leave TNA. While many will want to hear some controversy regarding the move, it is actually a cordial departure. Guerrero is leaving so that he can focus on a new consulting business that he and his wife have started. While he might no longer be attached to a promotion, he will be accepting booking from various independent wrestling shows across the country.

Billy Corgan joins TNA

In a rather interesting bit of news, Billy Corgan has officially signed a contract with TNA, where he is now the Senior Producer of Creative and Talent Development. To put it more simply, he is now in charge of the creative department. The signing has brought a bit of mainstream media attention to the company, but that is not the sole reason why it was done. Corgan is actually a huge fan of wrestling and has years of experience in the business.

Taryn Terrell doing stunts

For those of you that are not aware, Taryn Terrell has another job outside of being the Knockouts Champion in TNA. She is also a stunt woman in Hollywood. However, do not expect her to follow in the footsteps of Dwayne Johnson and Batista by leaving the wrestling business for movies. Taryn stated publicly that wrestling is her priority. She even rejected a handful of movies over the last couple of months because of wrestling.

Richie Steamboat forced to retire

When Richie Steamboat left WWE, he kept his hopes of being able to return some day. Unfortunately, professional wrestling might have been robbed of a potential superstar. Ricky Steamboat confirmed in an interview that his son has been forced to retire because he injured four discs in his back. Considering how well NXT is doing nowadays, Steamboat could have easily shined down there because he gets the business.

Bobby Roode to WWE

Since Bobby Roode is one of the best overall performers in the entire world, there are many within WWE that are disappointed that the front office did not try harder to lure him in while he was a free agent. In addition to being an old school style of wrestler that simply gets the business, Roode is also one of the more likable guys around. He comes off as someone that respects wrestling and those that paved the way before him.

Paragon Pro Wrestling

ROH is about to lose their standing as the third top promotion in the United States. A company called Paragon Pro Wrestling is finalizing a deal with Pop TV that will give them national exposure. Ring of Honor, on the other hand, has yet to reach all fifty states, despite being in business for as long as TNA has. Former WWE announcer Matt Striker is rumored to be the producer and director for the promotion. Lisa Marie Varon could be the featured star.

NBC promoting WWE

Since a lot of advertisers are still avoiding WWE like the plague, Vince McMahon and the executives at NBC discussed ways of trying to alleviate the stigma of doing business with the biggest professional wrestling company in the world. The two sides agreed that they needed the network to help convince advertisers and sponsors that McMahon has changed the product to be a lot more family friendly than they were a couple of years ago.

As many of you know by now, John Cena was the very first guest on the Chris Jericho podcast interview show that he is doing for WWE. His second guest is a rather interesting one as well. Jericho will be having a discussion with Vickie Guerrero on Wednesday. She will more than likely talk about what she has been doing since leaving the wrestling business. It will be interesting if Jericho asks about why she refused an offer to return.

Mick Foley on AJ Lee

In a very heartwarming message, Mick Foley thanks AJ Lee through social media for her contributions to the professional wrestling industry. He stated that she was a pioneer because she proved to WWE that you do not have to be a cookie cutter diva in order to succeed in the business. The former world heavyweight champion also stated that AJ was the person that paved the way for performers like Paige to get a chance with the company.
