Seiya Sanada leaves TNA

When Seiya Sanada was written off of Impact Wrestling, the belief was that he would be done with the TNA. That has now been confirmed. However, the speculation that he was returning to Japan to work for Wrestle-1 again, that has been proven false. While that might still be in the plans later on in the future, Sanada is currently accepting booking from independent wrestling promoters across North America. He wants to stick around for a little bit.

Carlito to GFW

When it comes to being booked on the independent wrestling circuit, Jeff Jarrett has the best of both worlds. Not only does he get to perform for fans and be paid rather handsomely for it, he also gets the opportunity to recruit wrestlers to join GFW. In May, he is working a show in California that will also feature Carlito. The two of them are expected to have a little discussion about doing business together later on this year.

Bret Hart and Ricky Steamboat

On April 11, Booker T is running a Reality of Wrestling show at the Clear Lake Sports Complex in Houston. He really wants a great showing, so he is turning to two of the biggest legends that professional wrestling has ever seen. Bret Hart and Ricky Steamboat have both signed on to make an appearance at the show. Neither of them are in any shape to do a match, so chances are, they will simply be there to cut promos in the ring.

Shawn Stasiak return

Since a lot of fans are unaware of his status since leaving the industry, Shawn Stasiak decided to send out a video message this week to fans. He wanted people to know that he is making a return to professional wrestling. Stasiak stated that he was available for booking and provided contact information for those that might be interested. To generate a little bit of hype, he even teased that he might return to WWE, which is a bit unlikely.

Kevin Owens selling

This experiment that WWE did with Kevin Owens being given an immediate push has seemingly paid off instantly. Not only is there more interest from the internet wrestling community, but ticket sales at NXT live events have been doing better than usual since Owens was booked in main event matches against Finn Balor during the tour. Owens is also reportedly moving a good amount of merchandise, so a promotion to the main roster is expected.

Since he is the hottest free agent in professional wrestling right now, there was a bit of competition from promoters around the world that wanted to manage Rey Mysterio and his business affairs. The recently released WWE star decided to go with someone that he views as a brother. Konnan is reportedly the person in charge of managing the booking for Mysterio. He is the one setting him up at shows across the globe.

Chris Sabin tour

For those of you that are wondering, Chris Sabin is very much still a professional wrestler. He has been working on the independent wrestling circuit since leaving TNA. The former world heavyweight champion is actually doing a tour of Europe right now. He has been booked by promotions in a couple of countries. No word yet on what Sabin intends on doing in the long term. No reports of interest from Lucha Underground just yet.

If you're a wrestling promoter and you want Rey Mysterio to make an appearance on your show, then you should be prepared to open up the checkbook. He is asking for $20,000 per appearance. While that may seem astounding to a lot of fans, it is a actually a price that some are willing to spend to bring attention to their companies. The recently released WWE star is said to have already secured one booking in England during the month of July.

There are rumors floating around right now that Rey Mysterio has booked himself some appearances outside of WWE. However, that is not true. The popular masked superstar has been thrown a bunch of offers from independent wrestling promoters, enough money for him to make a living off of. He, of course, is unable to accept any of those deals as long as he is contractually obligated to is current company. A release is being negotiated.

Vince Russo to wXw

Wrestling fans in Eruope are getting a dose of Vince Russo as an on screen character. He made his debut this week in wXw, portraying a heel investor. The former head writer of WWE and WCW made an immediate impact, booking an impromptu heavyweight championship match that resulted in a heel Karsten Beck winning the belt through controversial methods. Russo is not actually in charge of the promotion, as speculated.
