Melina has found life after WWE. She revealed during the podcast interview with Jim Ross that she returned to college. It is a move that is designed to hep her find a full time and long term career outside of professional wrestling. With that said, however, she still has some name value in the industry, so do not be surprised if she keeps making appearances at various conventions around the country. Fans still like to meet and take photos with her.

Justin Roberts bashes WWE

A surprise appearances was made by Justin Roberts at the House of Hardcore event over the weekend, and the former announcer ripped into WWE, the company that recently released him after years of loyalty and service. He stated that the company was so cancerous that it caused him to lose his passion for wrestling. Roberts also noted that their product was the same thing over and over again. Backstage politics was another criticism he mentioned.

Manu wrestling promotion

After failing to make a big splash in WWE, Manu has now decided to transition from being just a wrestler to being a wrestling promoter. The man who is legally known as Afa Anoa'i Jr has announced that he is starting his own promotion called Battlefield Pro Wrestling, which will be based primarily out of Pennsylvania, a state that is still rather passionate about the industry. Several family members are expected to cameo appearances eventually.

Melina nude

When Melina was released by WWE back in 2011, it was natural for fans to wonder about what the future holds for her. Aside from making sporadic appearances on the independent wrestling circuit, she has largely been absent from the mainstream scene. Some wondered if she would sink so low as to resort to taking nude photos of herself to make money. To her credit, she has not done such things, unlike other stars who are selling naked Skype calls.

Bullet Club in GFW

In case you do not follow the international wrestling scene, one of the hottest acts in the world right now is the Bullet Club, a heel stable that has taken over New Japan. Aside from a couple of quick appearances, the group has not been seen much in the United States. That might be changing soon. During a recent interview, Jeff Jarrett hinted that the group, which his character is a member of, could be headed to GFW in the near future.

Rey Mysterio appearances

There are rumors floating around right now that Rey Mysterio has booked himself some appearances outside of WWE. However, that is not true. The popular masked superstar has been thrown a bunch of offers from independent wrestling promoters, enough money for him to make a living off of. He, of course, is unable to accept any of those deals as long as he is contractually obligated to is current company. A release is being negotiated.

Vince Russo returning

Since he made an appearance as an on screen heel authority figure for wXw, a promotion in Europe, many fans have been wondering if this will lead to a more permanent return to professional wrestling by Vince Russo. As of right now, it appears unlikely. He has no intentions of uprooting his family to another continent, so the overseas appearances will be sparse. There is also no interest in him from WWE, TNA or Lucha Underground at the moment.

Vickie Guerrero not returning

Since she was quite the effective heel during her tenure with the company, WWE still remains interested in a return by Vickie Guerrero. Management has reached out to her on several occasions to gauge her interest in coming back. They have even tried to get her to make quick appearances as well. Unfortunately, though, Guerrero has expressed no desire to be involved with professional wrestling at this point in time.

Alberto Del Rio contract

Right before Impact Wrestling made its debut on Destination America, TNA wanted to make a big splash by signing a well known performer to make a surprise appearance. A $400,000 contract was put on the table for Alberto Del Rio. Management even sweetened the deal by limiting the amount of appearances that he would be required to make during the year. For whatever reasons, the former world heavyweight champion declined the offer.
