Steve Austin and Ric Flair recently had a podcast discussion about how that affects professional wrestling. Both men believe that the controversy over the flag should not prevent the Fabulous Freebirds, a team that utilized that flag as part of their character, from being inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame.

Kana

Kana drops REINA title

In another sign that she is set to move to the United States and sign with WWE, Kana has officially vacated the REINA championship that she won a year ago. Representatives from the promotion have confirmed that she is leaving their company soon. The belief is that she will be under contract with World Wrestling Entertainment before the end of the year, provided she is able to pass her physical.

R Truth retirement looming

At the age of 43, R Truth is smart enough to know that he is closer to the end of his career as a professional wrestler than to the beginning. He has been planning for life after WWE. Truth certainly does not want to rely on the independent wrestling circuit, so he has been looking into other options in entertainment. In addition to trying to launch a hip hop career, he has also been looking into acting opportunities in Hollywood lately.

Seth Rollins wins PWI 500

Since there are many within the internet wrestling community that cannot see past his heel character, there is a lot of unfair criticism towards Seth Rollins. Some are saying that he is a bad performer because he cheats to win. Fortunately, though, the people at Pro Wrestling Illustrated are smarter than that. They have ranked Rollins as the top guy in their annual PWI 500 listing.

A post on Instagram where Mickie James, Brutus Magnus and their son are on a plane that is headed to England. The couple are there for wrestling related business reasons. Mickie also mentions that this is the second trip across the pond for her son, who will get to spend some quality time with his grandparents.

Kelly Kelly open to WWE return

While many are under the assumption that Kelly Kelly has closed the book on professional wrestling, she revealed otherwise during a podcast interview this week. Kelly stated that if WWE were to come calling, she would definitely be interested in making a return and doing one final run. She says that she is still young enough to do so and her body is still doing fine.

Kana

Kana joining WWE

It seems like Kana is very much set on signing a contract with WWE, even though she stated not too long ago that she wanted to retire from professional wrestling. She is scheduled to show up in the USA next month to do the routine medical testing required before a contract is signed. The star from Japan will then need some time in developmental to get used to the new style, which means she won't appear on the main roster for a while.

Foley praises Eva Marie

When the internet wrestling community formulates an opinion, it often times takes years to change their mind. For the longest time, everyone criticized Eva Marie for not being a good in ring performer. She went out and tried to fix that by getting additional training outside of WWE. Mick Foley has decided to step up and defend Eva by routinely pointing out the improvements that she has made. He wants her to get a fair chance.

While much of the internet wrestling community is still emotional about the way that CM Punk walked out on WWE, Bret Hart has a different opinion. He completely agrees with how Punk did it. In fact, Hart seemed extremely proud of the former world heavyweight champion for doing that because he feels that Punk stood up for every performer backstage by willingly leaving in order to stand up for what he believes in.

A lot of wrestling fans are excited about the upcoming Owen Hart DVD. That includes Bret Hart. However, he feels that the material will not be as good as it should be because he thinks that WWE is making sure that they do not offend Martha Hart with the content. Bret feels that if the company is holding back, then they are not producing the best biography that they possibly can.
