In order to help their performers make more money each year, TNA has decided to modify the rule that prevents them from working in other promotions. In the past, special permission was granted for the wrestlers to work on cards promoted by Tommy Dreamer, Jeff Hardy and Matt Hardy. Now, they are free to work internet pay per view events for smaller independent companies. ROH is still not an option for the wrestlers, however.

The former world heavyweight champion is said to be quite pleasant to work with backstage. ROH officials are very pleased with his behavior and are definitely glad that he is willing to bring some of the spotlight to their promotion and wrestlers.

Prior to the big UFC announcement, CM Punk was being courted by another promotion. He had received a call from Ring of Honor, his former home, to see if he was interested in making a return. The former world heavyweight champion was not interested in being a full time professional wrestler at this point, so he declined. ROH reportedly attempted to get him to make a couple of appearances, but he declined that invitation as well.
