John Cena scholarship

During his podcast interview with Chris Jericho, John Cena revealed just how he close he was to turning heel during his feud against The Rock. It was to the point where he spent $5,000 to have new ring gear created for his heel persona. However, WWE scrapped that idea. Instead of asking for a refund, Cena told the seamstress to put that money towards developmental wrestlers that come to her for new apparel. Yet another good deed by Cena.

Rusev losing US title

In order to push him higher up the ladder, WWE will eventually be required to take the United States Heavyweight Championship off of Rusev. An idea being tossed around backstage is to have Cena helping another wrestler, such as Jack Swagger or Curtis Axel, win the belt from the Russian sympathizer.

The former pushed really hard for WWE to give the latter a chance in the main event scene. Management gave Langston a brief push, but it was not sustained. Nor did it take him that far up the ladder. He is essentially lost in the shuffle as a filler wrestler now. Cena does not play the political game as much as former stars did.

John Cena holds meeting

Since he is a locker room leader, John Cena decided to hold a meeting with all of the wrestlers earlier today. He wanted to address the civil war in WWE, where some of the performers have now decided to side with Triple H and are doing silent protests against Vince McMahon at TLC by not working as hard as they could. Many feel that Monday Night Raw and Smackdown would be much better if HHH was running those shows like he is allowed to run NXT.
