During his podcast interview with Chris Jericho, John Cena revealed just how he close he was to turning heel during his feud against The Rock. It was to the point where he spent $5,000 to have new ring gear created for his heel persona. However, WWE scrapped that idea. Instead of asking for a refund, Cena told the seamstress to put that money towards developmental wrestlers that come to her for new apparel. Yet another good deed by Cena.

It is not very often that you're going to see Dennis Miller being replaced by a professional wrestler, but that is exactly what is happening at the Podcast Awards. Due to a scheduling conflict, Miller had to back out of his duties as the host. Event organizers decided to replace him with Chris Jericho, who has one of the more popular podcast interview shows around. Jericho will be teaming up with Emily Morse, and the show will take place on April 14.

Shortly after Chris Jericho defended Bill DeMott from allegations of bullying, Ethan Carter decided to chime in. Prior to becoming a star in TNA, Carter was a developmental wrestler in WWE. He stated that he was one of the victims of the abuse from DeMott. Carter states that DeMott hit him in the head while he was suffering from a concussion. He also does not believe that management conducted a full investigation into the matter.

Knowing that he has a respected voice with the internet wrestling community, Chris Jericho decided to stand up for Bill DeMott, who has been facing allegations of abuse this week. Jericho stated that DeMott was a good friend and a great trainer. He also suggested that if developmental wrestlers cannot handle the heat, then they should quit. Jericho noted that his training with Stu Hart was much worse than what the NXT performers go through.

Well, the game just got a bit more interesting. Reports have surfaced that Ric Flair has just signed an agreement with CBS Sports to host his own weekly show. The Nature Boy will be interviewing various professional wrestlers, celebrities and musicians on his show.

During his much talked about podcast interview with Colt Cabana, CM Punk revealed that he was up for the lead role of 12 Rounds Reloaded, but Randy Orton got the part instead. Those were not the only two wrestlers that were being considered by WWE at the time. John Cena was the first choice, as management wanted him to reprise his character from the first movie. It has now also been discovered that Chris Jericho turned down the role as well.

Considering the stature that he has reached, it is understandable that Chris Jericho has a lot of clout backstage in WWE. He often times gets to choose the opponent that he wants to work with. Bray Wyatt was a handpicked choice. During a recent interview, the former world heavyweight champion listed three more wrestlers that he wants to work with when he makes his next return. Jericho listed Daniel Bryan, Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose as the three.
