Rumors have surfaced that there are those within WWE that are pushing management to set up a huge match between Kurt Angle and Brock Lesnar at Wrestlemania. The latter needs a top level opponent to work against because his feud with the Undertaker has ran its course.

Steve Austin

Austin boycotting Wrestlemania

In a rather bold statement, Steve Austin revealed during a podcast interview that he was going to boycott Wrestlemania next year if WWE does not induct Michael Hayes into the hall of fame as an individual. Austin feels that Hayes should have been inducted when the pay per view was in Georgia. He thinks that Dallas would be a suitable place because of the history that Hayes and the Von Erich family created in that region.

Fabulous Freebirds

Fabulous Freebirds being inducted

When it comes to worthiness, there really should be no questions about the Fabulous Freebirds and their place in professional wrestling history. That's why many in WWE are pushing for them to be inducted when Wrestlemania takes place in Dallas, which is where they made the most impact on the industry. The only thing preventing it from being a surefire thing is the fact that Michael Hayes was once involved in a racial controversy backstage.

The Rock

HHH hogging spotlight

There is some concern within WWE over the roles that Triple H has been giving himself. Even though he was the right guy for the part because of his in ring abilities and name value, some questioned if he should have been the one to work with Sting in his debut match. HHH is also penciled in to work with The Rock at Wrestlemania, so a decent amount of people are going to silently accuse him of putting himself in the biggest spotlight.

Seth Rollins

HHH vs Rock at Wrestlemania

As of right now, WWE still has The Rock penciled in for a big time match against Triple H at Wrestlemania. The reason why HHH is the opponent as opposed to someone like Brock Lesnar or even Seth Rollins is because management is really pushing to get Ronda Rousey to make an appearance at the pay per view. UFC won't allow her to wrestle, but they might be convinced to let her do an appearance at ringside.

Hulk Hogan

Hulk Hogan statue

At the next Wrestlemania, WWE originally had plans to unveil a statue for Hulk Hogan, much like they did for Andre the Giant previously. However, since the company has an unofficial policy of avoiding anything related to Hogan nowadays, that obviously will not be taking place. No word yet on whether or not the statue has already been created. Management still wants to do a statue unveil for someone at the pay per view.

Ronda Rousey

WWE avoiding Ronda Rousey

As some of you may already know, Ronda Rousey has been ruled out for Wrestlemania because she is filming a movie. Even if she were available, WWE might be hesitant to use at all. The UFC star recently defended recently suspended Nate Diaz and stated that MMA should not test for marijuana. Since World Wrestling Entertainment cares greatly about their brand, they might not want to be associated with those comments.

Dudley Boyz

Harlem Heat vs Dudley Boyz

If WWE wanted to add a dose of nostalgia to the next Wrestlemania, then they should consider the idea that Booker T mentioned during a recent interview. Citing that Stevie Ray is still physically ready, the former world heavyweight champion suggested that they do a match between Harlem Heat and the Dudley Boyz. A match of that magnitude would add even more appeal to the pay per view.

Brock Lesnar

Daniel Bryan vs Brock Lesnar

When asked during a recent interview who he would like to face if WWE were to ever clear him of his concussion, Daniel Bryan was quick to mention Brock Lesnar once again. The former world heavyweight champion thinks that he can pull off a classic with the former UFC star at Wrestlemania. Management may be afraid to throw Bryan into the match, however, due to fear of Lesnar hurting him.
