Dudley Boyz inducting Jacqueline

When WWE announced that they were inducting Jacqueline into the hall of fame at Wrestlemania 32 in Dallas, there were speculations as to who would get the honor of inducting the former diva. While she was associated with several performers over the years, the Texas native doesn't have that one linked act that stands out the most. Management has now revealed that the Dudley Boyz will be the one inducting her. The trio worked together in TNA as well.

Lucha Underground and TNA

In a rather interesting move, TNA officials contacted Lucha Underground officials to gauge their interest in doing a joint show in Dallas during Wrestlemania 32 weekend. Dixie Carter and her staff believe that if the two sides were to come together, it would create quite the buzz and capitalize on the thousands and thousands of WWE fans that are expected to head towards the pay per view. LU officials were not interested in the partnership.

AJ Styles at Royal Rumble

Since WWE wants to create a huge buzz before Wrestlemania 32, there are reports that management wants to shock the audience by having AJ Styles be one of the mystery entrants at the Royal Rumble. The fact that the pay per view is in Orlando bodes well for Styles, since he wrestled in that area for several years with TNA. Management is hoping that the familiarity with AJ will create a huge reaction when he shows up.

POP TV supports TNA

It appears that TNA will now have more support from POP TV than they ever had from Spike TV and Destination America. Network president Brad Schwartz has revealed that he is a long time fan of professional wrestling. He event went to Wrestlemania when he was younger. Schwartz even made sure to bring CBS executives to the meetings because he wanted them to hear from Dixie Carter herself.

Abyss vs Undertaker

During a podcast interview with Jim Ross, Abyss revealed some details about how close he came to signing with WWE back in 2006. John Laurinaitis had an offer on the table, but he backed out of the deal at the very last minute because he did not want to leave TNA after spending so many years there. Abyss also revealed to Ross that there were plans for him to feud with Undertaker and work a big match together at Wrestlemania.

Angle vs Lesnar at Wrestlemania

Rumors have surfaced that there are those within WWE that are pushing management to set up a huge match between Kurt Angle and Brock Lesnar at Wrestlemania. The former is set to be a free agent soon and has already stated that he is not in a rush to return to TNA. The latter needs a top level opponent to work against because his feud with the Undertaker has ran its course.

Sting nervous

According to Vince Russo, Sting is very nervous in anticipation of his high profile match against Triple H at Wrestlemania tonight. The former head writer of WWE stated that he worked closely with the WCW legend when the two of them were in TNA together. Russo stated that the former world heavyweight champion always cared about every single detail in his match, so he is worried his performance might not live up to the hype.

Great Muta induction

As some of you may already know by now, WWE wants to induct a legend from Japan into their hall of fame at Wrestlemania next month. Names like Tatsumi Fujinami and Genichiro Tenryu have been discussed internally, and both are great candidates. One candidate who has been discussed and immediately dismissed is the Great Muta. The company respects his line of work, but they will not induct him while he is working with TNA.

Mr Anderson as Sting

In a move that would surely generate more interest and perhaps some backlash, there are rumors floating around that TNA is thinking about having Mr Anderson bringing back the gimmick where he impersonates Sting. The highly unlikely move would be a great way to steal some of the thunder that WWE will surely receive when they start promoting the WCW legend and his involvement at Wrestlemania in a couple of weeks.
