Wade Barrett loses to Jimmy Uso

When you attend a live event, more often than not, the good guy is going to win. WWE does that because they want to send the fans home happy. However, the move came as a bit of a shock when they allowed Jimmy Uso to beat Wade Barrett at a show in Germany. Barrett is the one receiving a push and working a title match at Extreme Rules, whereas Uso is floating around as a singles competitor because Jey Uso is injured.

Wade Barrett shooting movie

Through social media, Wade Barrett revealed that he would be returning to England after WWE concludes their tour of Europe. He more than likely will be written off of Monday Night Raw so that he can return to his home country to film the movie Eliminators. Wade Barrett to Hollywood

Unless he changes his mind in the near future, Wade Barrett still intends on retiring from WWE when his current contract expires. The belief is that he wants to try his hands at Hollywood. There is always a chance that he could sign a contract extension and remain in professional wrestling if the interest is low.

Wade Barrett bad news

In case you're wondering, it has been a while since we've heard Wade Barrett cutting his "bad news" promos. The reason for that is because WWE officials instructed him to stop doing it. Management was concerned because the fans were actually cheering on the character and simultaneously saying the catchphrase with Barrett. Since he is supposed to be a heel, the front office wanted to ensure that he only received boos instead of cheers.

Alicia Fox and Bad News Barrett

The fact that the real life former relationship between Alicia Fox and Wade Barrett was revealed on Total Divas, that is a sign of just how much WWE has changed over the times. In the past, things like that were tightly kept in a vault. Vince McMahon was notorious for trying to keep backstage information from the internet wrestling community. The fact that he is more open to doing so now means that the tide is turning in the hierarchy.

Wade Barrett ascension

Unless he flops horribly as the WWE Heavyweight Champion, you can expect a lengthy run for Roman Reigns after he defeats Brock Lesnar at Wrestlemania. Since he is going to need opponents, management has been looking to boost the heel side of the roster to provide their new champion with some variety. One of the guys being eyed for a brief ascension into the main event is none other than Wade Barrett.
