When you consider that he has the total package as a wrestler, it is quite baffling that Wade Barrett has not been pushed into the main event scene for the past couple of years. Rumors have it that the reason why management is not fully behind him is because they are not happy with him being open about wanting to leave WWE in the near future. They are also concerned about him being a bit injury prone.

Despite the loss to Wade Barrett in the King of the Ring tournament, do not expect Adrian Neville to be dropped down the ladder by WWE. The front office still has every intention of keeping his push going. The belief is that Neville can be given a good amount of momentum by replacing Kofi Kingston as the high flyer in the upcoming Money in the Bank match. He is unlikely to win the thing, but he will be made to look very strong that night.

In a sign that WWE is going to push him, Wade Barrett was given the King of the Ring victory over Adrian Neville tonight. Plans must have been changed backstage recently because he was initially booked to put over Daniel Bryan at Extreme Rules a week ago. The absence of Bryan itself may have led to the change in decisions. The front office also did a good job of protecting Neville in the match by making it seem like he had a rib injury.

When you attend a live event, more often than not, the good guy is going to win. WWE does that because they want to send the fans home happy. However, the move came as a bit of a shock when they allowed Jimmy Uso to beat Wade Barrett at a show in Germany. Barrett is the one receiving a push and working a title match at Extreme Rules, whereas Uso is floating around as a singles competitor because Jey Uso is injured.

Through social media, Wade Barrett revealed that he would be returning to England after WWE concludes their tour of Europe. He more than likely will be written off of Monday Night Raw so that he can return to his home country to film the movie Eliminators. No word yet on how long he will be on the set, but the front office should not have any problems with him being gone because he is not receiving a big push at the moment.

For those that have not noticed, the push of Wade Barrett has been stalled due to a couple of circumstances. For starters, WWE is extremely focused with the Royal Rumble and Wrestlemania at the moment. They do not want to use their resources on pushing someone like Barrett. There is also the matter of his impromptu heel turn, which caused the creative department to scrap whatever ideas that they had laid out for him.

When Dolph Ziggler lost the Intercontinental Championship to Wade Barrett, many were under the impression that the move was done simply because WWE wanted to push Barrett. However, there are now reports floating around that backstage heat might have been involved in the decision. Some are saying that Ziggler is in trouble with management because he booked comedy shows for himself without approval from management.

In case you missed the segment on Monday Night Raw, Wade Barrett not only made his return to WWE, but he also did a face turn, as had been rumored earlier in the month. Bad News was given a victory over Antonio Cesaro, who was playing the role of complaining heel last night. Barrett will reportedly be pushed as a mid card face for the next couple of months before management determines if he is over enough to be put into the main event scene.

Things could be a bit different when Wade Barrett finally makes his return to WWE. He could be doing a face turn. Management is aware that his character is quite popular with the audience and internet fans, so capitalizing on that would be a good idea. Plus, the creative department is concerned about pushing him on the heel side because there a lot of guys being pushed. Barrett would need to pass Rusev, Brock Lesnar, Seth Rollins and Bray Wyatt.
