Total Divas on Tuesday

It is no secret that Total Divas has become quite a bit for WWE and the E! Network. The business relationship has worked out well for all involved. After doing some extensive market research, the decision has been made to move the series from Sunday night to Tuesday night. Some of the network executives feel that it would produce even higher ratings on that day. Vince McMahon also does not like it competing with his pay per view events.

In a sign that Vince McMahon is stepping a bit away from his job as the CEO of WWE, Finn Balor revealed that he finally got a chance to meet the boss at the NXT live event that took place during Wrestlemania weekend. In the past, McMahon personally meets with every wrestler that he signs to a contract. This means that Triple H was the one that did the meeting and the negotiations. The changing of the guard is definitely happening.

It looks like Steve Austin and Vince McMahon were once again able to resolve their issues. WWE announced that the former world heavyweight champion was going to be returning to the company and hosting his podcast show with them once again. The two sides reportedly had some issues after the last go around because McMahon felt that Austin asked some questions that cast his company in a bad light. Things apparently are fine now.

Since he has been quite vocal about the creative department, there is some backstage heat towards Batista from people in WWE. However, don't expect the former world heavyweight champion to stop trashing the product. He knows that his name value is growing by the day, so if he ever wanted to make another return, Vince McMahon would gladly be there to hold the door open for him with a gigantic check in his hands as well.

While accepting a hall of fame induction in Chicago, Vince McMahon was asked if WWE would ever bring Wrestlemania back to the city. Ever the public relations master, McMahon stated that the idea has not been ruled out. He noted that the company has no qualms with doing the pay per view in a colder environment, citing the latest one in New York as an example. When asked if he was tired of the CM Punk chants, McMahon wisely said he was not.

There are rumors floating around that Vince McMahon abruptly put together the Elimination Chamber, as a way to boost the amount of WWE Network subscribers. Further fuel was added to the fire because management opted to reschedule a live event that was taking place on the same day. John Cena and Rusev were originally scheduled to be approximately 1100 miles away from the pay per view, so the changes were necessary.

For the longest time, the internet wrestling community had been yearning for the return of the King of the Ring, as it was one of the most popular gimmicks that WWE has ever done. It finally made a return this year, and Vince McMahon needed a lot of convincing before giving it the green light. It has now been revealed that he actually hates tournament. The belief is that Wrestlemania 4 did one and produced lackluster numbers.

Much has been discussed about the rumored backstage heat between Vince McMahon and Steve Austin as of late. We might know what initially started the friction between the two. Austin revealed in an interview with Sports Illustrated that WWE lied to him during his last appearance at Wrestlemania. He was promised that he would be the last to come out during his segment with Hulk Hogan, but they gave that honor to The Rock instead.

One of the more interesting revelations that was made during the podcast interview that Kurt Angle did with Ric Flair was the fact the latter was the one that convinced the former to avoid signing a contract with WCW. Flair had several issues with the front office, so he advised Angle to sign with WWE instead. He even stated that he handed him the phone number to Vince McMahon, so that he can initiate the negotiations personally.

Apparently, there are a ton of wrestling fans who think that they have what it takes to become a star in WWE. The company has now revealed that they have received audition tapes from 113 different countries. Some of the videos have been uploaded to YouTube, and they have already received more than 2 million views collectively. That should please Vince McMahon quite a bit because he can tout those numbers during the next conference call.
