WWE Network free in May

Since the promotion is quite effective in inflating the number of subscribers, the WWE Network will be available for free in May. This is the first time that management has opted to do it in consecutive months (April was free as well). That means that fans will be able to watch Payback for free. Vince McMahon is hoping that the move will enable them to finally break the 1.5 million mark, which would then be flaunted at potential investors.

WWE Network foreign subscribers

Back when it was announced that the WWE Network was going to start being aired internationally, some in the internet wrestling community were absolutely certain that the company would rope in millions of subscribers. Vince McMahon was a bit more realistic, especially since he based his opinions on numbers and statistics. He announced earlier today that they have picked up a little less than 200,000 foreign subscribers. Numbers won't be much higher.

King of the Ring returns

Vince McMahon is still desperately wanting to boost the number of subscribers for the WWE Network, so he has decided to bring back one of the best gimmicks that his company has ever created. The King of the Ring tournament is making a comeback, and it is starting on the next episode of Monday Night Raw. The preliminary rounds will be held on television, but the semifinals and finals will be shown on Tuesday on their online video service.

WWE Network for free

If the $9.99 price tag is too much for you, you're in luck. The WWE Network will be free for the month of April. In addition to all of the usual content on there, you will also get to watch Extreme Rules for free. Vince McMahon saw the increase in subscribers after doing the same promotion back in February, so he wanted to give the subscribers count another boost in April. Earlier today, the company revealed that they had reached 1.3 million subscribers now.

For those of you out there that have been sharing a single WWE Network account, be prepared to loses that partnership. The company has been working hard on figuring out a way to prevent that from taking place. Management feels that they are losing out on a good amount of money by people circumventing their rules and policies. The belief is that Vince McMahon will make it where people can no longer be logged on simultaneously.

While it took them much longer to reach the million subscribers mark than they initially had planned, Vince McMahon and company are still quite confident about the future of their online subscription service. A company spokesperson recently stated that they believe that they will get up to 4 million subscribers within the next couple of years. WWE Network recently launched in other countries, but the company has not revealed those numbers yet.

Earlier this year, Vince McMahon proudly boasted that his WWE Network has reached over a million subscribers. We now have a more exact figure. The company stated that they now have more than 1.4 million subscribers. That has caused some excitement within the internet wrestling community. However, it should be noted that a lot of those subscribers are signed up for the free trial. Those users were factored into the final numbers as well.

When it comes to the WWE Network, Vince McMahon knew a long time ago that his biggest market would be the United States. It is the rest of the countries on the list that are a question mark. The company finally found it's way over to England and Ireland, both of whom shot towards the top of the list immediately. Canada has a chance to top those two. McMahon is another step closer now that an agreement has been reached with more providers.

Nothing but positive reactions have come out of Steve Austin interviewing Vince McMahon and Triple H separately on his podcast show. Management loves it because it brought a good amount of attention to the WWE Network. It is being said that they are interested in Stone Cold doing more episodes in conjunction with them. The wrestlers backstage also love the show because Austin has not avoided asking the tougher questions.

WWE Network cancellation

While the company has proudly raved about reaching the one million subscribers count for the WWE Network, there is still some concerns backstage because those numbers might have dropped since the Royal Rumble. Fans threatened to cancel their service after that show. If Vince McMahon avoids talking about the subscription number during the next big conference call, then it is safe to assume that it has dipped below a million.
