It is no secret that television ratings have been in a decline for WWE over the years. When asked about that recently, Vince McMahon downplayed its importance. He stated that other television shows on the USA Network are seeing similar declines, some having larger declines than Monday Night Raw. McMahon also stated that times have changed, as a lot of people are no longer watching television like they used to because we are now in a digital age.

In case you haven't noticed, WWE has avoided doing pay per view and television events at Madison Square Garden. The reason for that is because there is a higher cost of production from that venue than normal. Vince McMahon still loves the place, as he considered that the home base of his promotion for years. The recent Network special was done because it did not cost as much as a regular pay per view.

Whenever television ratings go down, Vince McMahon and his paranoia go up. He is in that mood nowadays because his numbers have been declining at a rapid rate. There is a fear within WWE that if the ratings drop below 2.0, which is not that far off, then USA Network executives are going to come calling with some questions. At that point, McMahon is going to make life a living hell for the people who are around him backstage.

TNA wasn't the only wrestling promotion finalizing a new television deal in Italy this week. Vince McMahon did so as well. He has secured a contract that will enable WWE to keep broadcasting their programming in that country until the year 2020. The promotion has been with Sky Italia since 2003. The network stated that the business partnership between the two sides have been mutually beneficial and should continue on for years.

The next time that WWE rolls into Montreal, it will more than likely be a live event instead of a television taping. The company was bothered to learn earlier today that ticket sales were a bit stagnant. There were plans in place to taper off the entire top section. That is something that Vince McMahon absolutely hates to do because it makes his shows look small. There is a good chance that a lot of free tickets were handed out.

Since their reality television show was on a hiatus, that paved the way for Total Divas to take the top spot on the E! Network. Vince McMahon shared that bit of information with shareholders earlier today, and he downplayed things a little by stating that the other popular show was not around capture all of the viewers. Expect more seasons to come.

Vince McMahon is still desperately wanting to boost the number of subscribers for the WWE Network, so he has decided to bring back one of the best gimmicks that his company has ever created. The King of the Ring tournament is making a comeback, and it is starting on the next episode of Monday Night Raw. The preliminary rounds will be held on television, but the semifinals and finals will be shown on Tuesday on their online video service.
