Stephanie McMahon revealed on Twitter that she has a new jet plane. The belief is that WWE purchased the new vehicle for her because she will be attending events more frequently in the role of brand ambassador. Triple H and Vince McMahon will more than likely travel together to Monday Night Raw and Smackdown each week.
In a rather interesting development, CM Punk has left WWE. After not being utilized on Monday Night Raw, he reportedly told Vince McMahon backstage that he was going home. Punk did not appear at Smackdown on Tuesday as advertised, and the company has removed him from all upcoming appearances.
Vince McMahon does not view Smackdown as a major priority. That's why the story lines are usually saved for Monday Night Raw. However, despite the show not being a priority, it is still producing rather well for the company. Smackdown is averaging approximately three million viewers a week.
The belief within the industry is that Vince McMahon will start doing live versions of Smackdown each week, and those beliefs were solidified even further when the CEO preached the value of live showings during a WWE Network conference call.
WWE is negotiating new television deals for 2014, and the company is willing to go live with Smackdown and move it to another night if an acceptable deal with the network can be reached. The fee would have to be increased to cover the cost, however.
