Royal Rumble match changed

For those that missed Monday Night Raw, Vince McMahon made a shocking announcement at the end of the episode when he informed Roman Reigns that he would be defending the WWE Heavyweight Championship during the actual Royal Rumble match. The belief is that this will be a good way to take the title off of Reigns and allow him to have his big moment at Wrestlemania when he regains the title.

Vince McMahon mocks fans

During the earnings call earlier today, Vince McMahon took yet another jab at WWE fans. He specifically targeted those that were particularly upset with how the Royal Rumble match played out. McMahon acknowledged that there were a lot of irritated fans who threatened to no longer watch any of his product, but he flat out stated that it did not concern him because he knows that they will be glued to the television the next day.

WWE Network cancellation

While the company has proudly raved about reaching the one million subscribers count for the WWE Network, there is still some concerns backstage because those numbers might have dropped since the Royal Rumble. Fans threatened to cancel their service after that show. If Vince McMahon avoids talking about the subscription number during the next big conference call, then it is safe to assume that it has dipped below a million.

Dixie Carter

Bully Ray contract

Since he made an appearance as Bubba Ray during the Royal Rumble, a lot of fans are under the assumption that Mark LoMonaco is officially back with WWE on a full time basis. Some are even ruling out the possibility of a return to TNA. That is not the case at all. Vince McMahon has yet to make him an offer, and there is a chance it might not happen at all. If the money is right, then he could sign with Dixie Carter and bring back the Bully Ray character.

Monday Night Raw live stream

Because of a severe snowstorm that is crippling the northeast portion of the country, WWE was forced to take a gamble with Monday Night Raw this week. Since the arena was not available, management opted to do a live stream from the company headquarters in Stamford. They also showed the two key matches from the Royal Rumble. Vince McMahon was very pleased to find out that the show ended up being one of the highest rated in a while.

WWE snow storm

During this time of year, Vince McMahon already has a million headaches because he is trying to make things perfect between the Royal Rumble and Wrestlemania. He has another problem to deal with this week. Monday Night Raw and Smackdown are being held in Hartford and Boston respectively, and there is a severe snowstorm headed that way. Weather reports are stating that as much as 24 inches of snow could pound the area.

Vince McMahon still in power

In has been said here and there over the last year that Vince McMahon has been delegating more and giving up some of his powers in the company, but that apparently has not been the case now that we are on that period of time between the Royal Rumble and Wrestlemania. The WWE CEO has been as vocal and demanding as he has been over the last couple of years because he feels that this is essentially playoffs time for wrestling.
