It is no secret that television ratings have been in a decline for WWE over the years. When asked about that recently, Vince McMahon downplayed its importance. He stated that other television shows on the USA Network are seeing similar declines, some having larger declines than Monday Night Raw. McMahon also stated that times have changed, as a lot of people are no longer watching television like they used to because we are now in a digital age.

Since the ratings have been tanking as of late, Vince Russo believes that executives from the USA Network will force WWE to produce an edgier product that might be able to bring back a good portion of the viewers that left. Vince McMahon is the one that wants a children friendly product but his hands could be forced if network executives feel that the formula is no longer working.

Since they are bringing Smackdown over to their network, NBC Universal has worked hard with Vince McMahon and WWE to increase the amount of advertisers that are on board. Thus far, their collective efforts have brought in 37 new advertisers. While that is good news, there is still a lot of concerns as the ratings have been dropping. If it keeps dropping, then there is a fear of losing those advertisers in the near future.

Whenever television ratings go down, Vince McMahon and his paranoia go up. He is in that mood nowadays because his numbers have been declining at a rapid rate. There is a fear within WWE that if the ratings drop below 2.0, which is not that far off, then USA Network executives are going to come calling with some questions. At that point, McMahon is going to make life a living hell for the people who are around him backstage.

It is no secret that Total Divas has become quite a bit for WWE and the E! Network. The business relationship has worked out well for all involved. After doing some extensive market research, the decision has been made to move the series from Sunday night to Tuesday night. Some of the network executives feel that it would produce even higher ratings on that day. Vince McMahon also does not like it competing with his pay per view events.

The company has trouble keeping people interested after Wrestlemania. This does not sit well with Vince McMahon. Vince McMahon was surprised to find out that approximately 600,000 viewers turned away from the latest episode of Monday Night Raw, despite there being hope that Sting would show up in person to respond to Triple H and his challenge. The show was up against the series premiere episodes of Better Call Saul, and that played a factor.
