McMahon denies Hogan loss

When asked about what the loss of Hulk Hogan meant to WWE, Vince McMahon opted to downplay the situation by stating that it has no material effect on them. This comes on the heel of the company losing at least $50 million in stock because of his departure. Hogan also moved a good amount of merchandise and was a proven draw at live events, especially in the international market.

Eric Bischoff conveyed a rather interesting story during a recent interview. He stated that Vince McMahon once had to hop on his private jet and fly to a live event because members of the Kliq refused to lose their matches for the evening. WWE in Montreal

The next time that WWE rolls into Montreal, it will more than likely be a live event instead of a television taping. The company was bothered to learn earlier today that ticket sales were a bit stagnant. There were plans in place to taper off the entire top section. That is something that Vince McMahon absolutely hates to do because it makes his shows look small. There is a good chance that a lot of free tickets were handed out.

While he would never admit it publicly, it is being said that Vince McMahon is keeping a very close eye on the upcoming tour of China that TNA is embarking on in a couple of weeks. WWE has long been trying to figure out ways of expanding their live events business into Asia. They only do a couple of shows a year there, but it would really be quite a boost to their overall revenue stream if they could find ways of touring there more frequently.

NXT marketing

One of the reasons why Vince McMahon is starting to become a big fan of NXT is the fact that the brand was able to sell out tickets to a live event without needing to promote the matches. That means that fans are simply showing up because they support the brand in whole. WWE live events usually reveal the main event matches that will be taking place on the card. This gives Triple H a bit more leverage when it comes to backstage politics.
