WWE reducing inductees

Since Vince McMahon is highly aggravated with how long the hall of fame induction ceremony has been running over the past couple of years, everyone in WWE has been trying to figure out ways to resolve that issue. One of the ideas being tossed around backstage is to induct fewer wrestlers each year. The feeling is that if they took away one or two inductees from the yearly class, it would prevent the show from going on for four hours.

Steve Austin shirts pulled

An apparel website that works with wrestlers has reportedly been sent a cease and desist letter from WWE earlier this month. The two shirts in questions were designed for Steve Austin. As many of you already know, there have been rumors floating around of backstage heat between Austin and Vince McMahon. The belief is that the company is purposely doing this as a way of getting back at him for skipping out on Wrestlemania.

Springboard Stunner

When John Cena added a springboard Stunner to his arsenal of moves, the belief was that Vince McMahon instructed him to do that. As many of you already know, there have been reports about backstage heat between McMahon and Steve Austin. While Austin has denied those rumors, he did seem quite agitated that Cena has been doing that move. He stated that the springboard aspect makes the move a bit more dangerous for the performers.

Arn Anderson endorsed Alundra Blayze

Word going around right now is that Arn Anderson was the one that pushed WWE to induct Alundra Blayze into the hall of fame. He felt that enough time had been passed to bring up the idea to upper management. The belief is that Vince McMahon was able to convinced to do so because someone told him that it would be a great way to take another jab at WCW. It has been reported that McMahon was the one that asked her to do the trash can bit.

WWE hall of fame ceremony

Vince McMahon has not been pleased with how the hall of fame ceremony has been doing over the last couple of years. His main source of discord is the fact that these shows are running way longer than expected. Wrestlers have a tendency to ramble on because some view it as their last moment in the spotlight. McMahon has instructed the front office in WWE to come up with a plan to prevent that from happening again next year.

Chris Jericho hosting Tough Enough

Since Steve Austin and Vince McMahon are at odds, WWE no longer has a host for the upcoming return of Tough Enough. They reportedly turned their attention to Chris Jericho, who is also doing a podcast interview show or the company. They feel that he would be a more than adequate replacement for Austin. Jericho, however, has stated that he has not had any talks with the front office about the role. He might just be working the fans, though.

Radicals to WWE

Vickie Guerrero did a podcast interview with Chris Jericho this week, and she revealed something rather interesting about the Radicalz making the jump to WWE. She revealed that even before Chris Benoit, Dean Malenko, Perry Saturn and Eddie Guerrero were released by WCW, there were discussions being had with Vince McMahon, which is essentially contract tampering. No lawsuit is likely to take place since the company no longer exists.

Kurt Angle meeting

During a recent interview with Sports Illustrated, Kurt Angle revealed that WWE had canceled a meeting with him. The two sides were supposed to talk about a contract to bring the former world heavyweight champion back into the mix. Angle felt a little disrespected that he was treated like a nobody. He stated that Triple H told him that they already had enough talent on the roster, something that Vince McMahon would never say.

WWE on DirecTV

In a rather interesting move, DirecTV has been in negotiations with WWE to resume airing their pay per view events again. It makes very little sense for Vince McMahon to sign up for that again because he is now using that as a tool to get more subscribers for the Network. Plus, the buy rates were dropping at a pretty marginal scale regardless. While the financial gains would not be a lot, they are more than zero, so this could possibly happen.

NXT marketing

One of the reasons why Vince McMahon is starting to become a big fan of NXT is the fact that the brand was able to sell out tickets to a live event without needing to promote the matches. That means that fans are simply showing up because they support the brand in whole. WWE live events usually reveal the main event matches that will be taking place on the card. This gives Triple H a bit more leverage when it comes to backstage politics.
