Randy Savage paranoid about snakes

To give you an idea of just how shady the professional wrestling business used to be, Randy Savage was said to have been paranoid about doing the segment where Jake Roberts ties him up and lets the snake bite him in the arm. The idea was created by Vince McMahon. Savage had issues trusting McMahon, so he had Roberts get the snake to bite himself backstage to make sure that it wasn't poisonous. He didn't want to find out on camera.

The business relationship with NBC has improved tremendously for WWE. The network was able to convince a big brand such as Coca Cola to sponsor an upcoming episode of Monday Night Raw that will be heavily built around the Slammy Awards. For the longest time, Jerry Jarrett swore that he would never return to professional wrestling. The man who helped start TNA has had a change of heart. Jarrett has announced that he was making a triumphant return to the industry. However, he has not provided details on which promotion it will be with. Jarrett is such a trusted figure in the business that Vince McMahon once tapped him as a replacement in case McMahon was sent to jail.

The former world heavyweight champion revealed that Vince McMahon never even bothered to talk to him during the entire ordeal. Hogan stated that Triple H was the one that kept in touch with him. HHH was also the one that gave Hogan the bad news about their business separation.

TNA wasn't the only wrestling promotion finalizing a new television deal in Italy this week. Vince McMahon did so as well. He has secured a contract that will enable WWE to keep broadcasting their programming in that country until the year 2020. The promotion has been with Sky Italia since 2003. The network stated that the business partnership between the two sides have been mutually beneficial and should continue on for years.

Total Divas on Tuesday

It is no secret that Total Divas has become quite a bit for WWE and the E! Network. The business relationship has worked out well for all involved. After doing some extensive market research, the decision has been made to move the series from Sunday night to Tuesday night.
