Alicia Fox
Those that watched Summerslam 2014 saw Nikki Bella doing her much rumored heel turn. She is expected to work in that role on television going forward. However, WWE did something peculiar at a live event in Sacramento over the weekend. Nikki worked as a baby face. She teamed up with Emma to defeat Alicia Fox and Layla El. The face team even attacked Rosa Mendes, who was portraying a heel character. No word yet on why WWE opted to do this.

Alexander Rusev
Rumors are floating around right now that WWE officials were not too pleased with the performance that Alexander Rusev put on at Summerslam 2014 in his flag match against Jack Swagger. His selling of an ankle injury was sub par, and the manner in which he sold it was not very fitting of his character. WWE really wants him in the main event scene, so they're paying much more attention to his matches than usual.
August 21, 2014
Dean Ambrose
There is a split backstage in WWE when it comes to viewing Dean Ambrose as a main event performer. A lot of people in management do not view the former Shield member as someone of that caliber. He also has his supporters, and that group has probably increased in size after his superb performances with Seth Rollins at Summerslam 2014 and Monday Night Raw.
August 21, 2014
Rey Mysterio
There were some talks backstage in WWE of bringing in Rey Mysterio to help do promotions for Summerslam 2014. He lives three hours away in San Diego and is especially popular in southern California. When WWE announced that they were moving Summerslam 2015 from Los Angeles to New York, the company did not reveal the actual location of the pay per view. There are rumors floating around now that Vince McMahon may try to do the event at the massive MetLife Stadium that was the host of Wrestlemania 29. It's quite the risky endeavor, so the belief is that WWE will eventually end up choosing the Barclays Center or the IZOD Center instead.
August 21, 2014
AJ Lee
Rumors are floating around right now that AJ Lee is going to be leaving WWE very soon. Over the last couple of years, Summerslam has grown to become a tradition in Los Angeles. Last night, however, WWE announced that the tradition is going to be broken. The venue has not been announced yet, but rumors are floating around that McMahon wanted something more than the Staples Center.
August 18, 2014
Hulk Hogan
Since he did not fly home to Florida after the live WWE event last night, the belief is that Hulk Hogan will be making an appearance at Summerslam 2014 tonight. The venue is approximately 90 minutes away from the Staples Center, where Summerslam 2014 will be held.
August 16, 2014
Brie Bella

Rob Van Dam
The speculation right now is that Rob Van Dam will be taking another break from WWE after Summerslam 2014. The former world heavyweight champion is not currently booked for the pay per view, but there are talks that management could squeeze him into a match at the last minute. August 13, 2014
Alexander Rusev
There is some confusion within WWE right now in regards to the upcoming flag match between Alexander Rusev and Jack Swagger at Summerslam 2014. There are also talks that it could just simply be a thing where the winner gets to wave his flag and have his national anthem played after the match.
August 12, 2014
Brie Bella
Since she is being featured in one of the biggest matches at Summerslam 2014 and has not worked as an in ring performer in a very long time, many were expecting Stephanie McMahon to work a practice match before stepping into the ring with Brie Bella. Apparently, that will not be the case. Stephanie is doing private workouts and feels confident that the practice is not needed.
August 10, 2014
Cody Rhodes
Reports are surfacing that WWE will be throwing a last minute fatal four way match together at Summerslam 2014, where Cody Rhodes, Goldust, Jimmy Uso, Jey Uso, Luke Harper, Erick Rowan, Curtis Axel and Ryback will all be vying for the tag titles. Management does not view this division to be a priority at this time, even though fan interest has grown.
August 7, 2014
Dolph Ziggler
WWE has announced that Dolph Ziggler will be challenging the Miz at Summerslam 2014 for the Intercontinental Championship. While his popularity remains pretty strong, this is not a push for Ziggler. Management simply needed a mid card baby face to put over Miz. A title change is not expected to take place, as the company wants to see how far this Hollywood character can go.
August 5, 2014
Brie Bella
While the upcoming match between Stephanie McMahon and Brie Bella at Summerslam 2014 is being heavily anticipated by fans online, the numbers for that final hour of Monday Night Raw, where the two gals had their confrontation to close out the episode, managed to lose approximately half a million viewers. That has caused some concerns backstage for WWE because the match is viewed as one of the headliners of the pay per view.
August 4, 2014

July 14, 2014
Undertaker

He didn't make the decision to drop the winning streak to Brock Lesnar, but he reportedly does not mind ending his career on the losing end of a match. WWE wants him back, but the ball is entirely in the court of the Undertaker. For what it's worth, the legend is still staying in shape and working out.
July 5, 2014
Roman Reigns
While it is still quite a long time away, WWE currently has plans penciled in for Roman Reigns at Wrestlemania 31. Hulk Hogan
"I spoke to them in November about coming back in January, but neither of us could really agree on what it was I would be doing, and not in a bad way. If I'm going to come back, what am I going to be doing at WrestleMania? Let's see, we've got Batista coming back, we've got Brock Lesnar coming back, we've got Undertaker coming back, we've got Hulk Hogan coming back, we've got the ascension of Bray Wyatt, we've got the ascension of The Shield, Cesaro's ready to go and Daniel Bryan's ready to go. Where do I fit in? We have a great relationship, but if it doesn't work for both of us, then it won't happen. When the time comes where it does, then it will. It's as simple as that." - Chris Jericho discusses a potentail WWE return

Chris Jericho
"I loved it, I thought it was great. It was a legitimate shock, it got everybody talking. I think the right guy got it, if you're going from a credibility standpoint, and if you're going from a believability standpoint. As much as people and fans and journalists want to believe that it's the case, I'm not sure if Undertaker had too many matches left in him. Maybe he doesn't want to wrestle again. Maybe he knew that he couldn't take any more. It's a big, physical task to wrestle as it is, and once a year is hard. I wouldn't want to come and wrestle just once a year. That's even harder than wrestling 200 times a year, because your body's not used to it. And the older you get, the harder it gets, the more the aches and pains kick in. Maybe The Undertaker decided that, 'I don't want to do this anymore'. And much to the fans' chagrin, who wish that we would wrestle until the day we die at 90 years old and explode into a puff of dust in the ring, sometimes you've got to make that decision. If the time was now, Brock was the right guy for that day, and I thought it was amazing. And I would have hated it - hated it - if Undertaker would have retired without losing. I think that would have been a horrible way to go, I'm really happy that he lost The Streak." - Chris Jericho on the streak ending at Wrestlemania 30

Undertaker
"I was completely in shock. Nobody saw it coming. If anybody happened to miss the finish they would have had unlimited oxygen to breathe because everybody held their breath at the same time! It was just unbelievable. The reaction - just silence. I don't even know how to describe it. I did not see it coming. My dad was at the event, he was frantically calling me! That's how big it was I guess, my dad's trying to phone me saying, 'What's going on, what's going on? The Undertaker lost!' He couldn't comprehend it, I don't think anybody could. I know it's a moment that'll be remembered. Lesnar is going to go down in history as the man who did it." - Drew McIntyre discusses the Undertaker loss at Wrestlemania 30
